Dude... okay, fine. I'm queer myself, but I don't think our current labels really convey anything meaningful. I don't think neither "trans" nor "drag queen" describe what they are, even in the general sense of the whole "woman trapped in a man's body" thing. But hey, whatever anybody wants to call themselves is fine with me. I for example, hate to refer to myself as queer, gay or anything alike since what the LGBT movement has become is so shameful.... I loved the movie too, by the way. This scene is my favorite. That display of inner trust and how comfortable they are with each other, so comfortable they can fight like that. I think it's a beautiful friendship and very healthy emotionally. Certainly much better than what we are attempting to do nowadays instead.

@A1fredo Again... the characters themselves say what they are. In fact, that's the whole premise of the story. Two drag queens taking a younger drag queen under their wings on a cross-country road trip. Mayhem ensues.
They never say they are women trapped in men's bodies. That's not what drag queens are.
And the world needs labels, otherwise people do things like confusing drag queens and trans people.
Even on Ru Paul's Drag Race they differentiate hand have transgendered drag queen contestants.
They also at that point weren't friends yet. The friendship doesn't solidify until much later in the movie. They grow and learn and get accepted by the last people they thought would accept them. They are fighting in this scene and being brutally vicious, because that's what people do when they are angry, frustrated and stressed.
I was dismissed from the LGBT community a long time ago, mainly because I make comments like this one. Labels have to be used, but not abused. The only reason why I stand firm on this is because I have friends who are trans and a friend who's a drag queen, and they are not under the same umbrella... except when it rains. Then they are happy to share.

Movie aside, I am genuinely curious: what about the LGBT movement do you find shameful? I'd love to hear another's opinion on it.

@Jyvur_Entropy Exactly. There can be trans drag queens (although after the operation, they're women, so not really drag anymore). But you're right. Drag is a performance that dates all the way back to Shakespeare, and can be done by men both gay and straight. It has nothing to do with someone being trans.
