If the BLM were not based on the false narrative of unfair unjust treatment of Blacks by the police - I would stand right there with them.
Stop blaming the cops for all your legal troubles people! YOU are the problem.

Cops go where the crime is... that's their job. God bless 'em, I wouldn't do it.
Young, black males are about 3% of the U.S. population; and they account for about half of all murders and robberies, and about a third of rapes and aggravated assaults according to FBI stats.
If they didn't have an astronomically disproportionate rate of forceful interactions with the police, then that would just be dereliction by both cops and Mayors.
Combine that with the fact that police have a target on their backs in black neighborhoods in the first place, and you can begin to understand why they go in with a more tactical mindset than they do when they're cruising the suburbs.
I don't think you need to have too many peers gunned down in an ambush, before you start looking over your shoulder and approaching doors with a finger on your gunstrap just in case. Those interactions are far less likely to go smoothly than the same situation in a less-threatening setting.
And then for the Mayor, in whose name you are enforcing the law to bring Order to the community to begin with; to publicly stab you in the back and stand with the mob against you... that's just about the most despicable piece-o'-shit abdication of leadership that I can think of. I wouldn't be a cop under a Democrat Mayor for a million dollars. And I feel bad for the good people in those communities, but they can either elect a real Mayor or fend for themselves. I'm not putting myself in that situation.
(I'm not a cop anyway, just speaking hypothetically...)
