Shutting down free speech is always fascism regardless of how that speech is perceived. Please tell that to your fascist friends who hate free speech that doesn't agree with them.

That "paramilitary" power was given to Obama in 2013's DDAA. As I said to liberals then "You will hate this if a Republican wins". So miss me with the lecture. Unless you protested then you have no business protesting now.

It's funny how you think you have standing to criticize Democrats but I don't. Also, criticism does not shut down speech. Capitalist institutions do.
I'm in the street calling out my Democratic mayor while you decided politics was too hard and that licking the boot for hire was preferable.
When I hear it, I'll applaud it. For your reading:
Left, right, left, right but always forward--that's a march. People in power do not care about you. I worked in DC and left because my conscience could not reconcile itself with my job. Tom Morello felt the same. Why RAGE protested the Democratic convention and not the Republicans was the outright conflict between the words coming out of their mouths and their actions.
Republicans tell you "I like big corporations. Big corporations are good. Insurance companies and private health is good. Our military is fucking awesome."
They get exactly what they paid for with their vote.
Everyone else gets a nice song and dance and then ass raping for the duration of their terms in office.
Democrats talk about national health then when they have the supermajority finally they give us --drum roll--the worst mandatory insurance program in history. They talk anti-war and then start droning the shit out of civilians. They speak about Green Living and then give Monsanto a protection act that completely kicks every sustainable agriculture community and organic farmers right in the nuts. They talk human rights and gay rights then hug up with China and KSA.
Yes, they are worse because they promise more and give you less.
If you want people who claim to have your same beliefs on community, helping others, kinder policing to follow through with REAL action then you have to like you would with a toddler be prepared to put them in the time out chair until they learn to follow through with something tangible.
