Hey, what's something weird about Mexicans, or a good ol' offensive joke about us? I want some spicy material to include in my video lol Is it true that some of you think that Cielito Lindo is our National Anthem? What's our most notable characteristic? Be offensive, that's cool.

I have limited experience with Mexicans since I come from Europe. But I do watch lot of UFC fights over the years with Mexican fighters. And in that context I've seen some stereotypes. Number one being pride in being "Tough as Nails". At least that is the attitude. And I've seen them abandon good technique in fights in favor of trying to prove the stereotype is real. This would often eventually lead to them either taking way to much damage, far more than necessary or get KO'ed because of foolish street pride.

By contrast Japanese fighters with their whole traditional of Bushido code and different sense of honor, would be too conservative. Its as hard to find a Japanse fighter coming off the streets as it is fighting Mexican fighter who raised in a dojo.

At last that is my stereotype about Mexicans. Oh, and about women, there is a certain Soap Opera style of arguing that is full of finger pointing and body postures that I find sometimes annoying and sometimes hilariously silly. Sometimes I feel Mexican Latinas finger point and gesture more than Italians, and I though that was impossible. lol

Just my 2 cents.

haha That was really cute input, you made me laugh a lot. They actually do use the characters' long long full Mexican names for dramatic effect. They even make them longer by using two middle names or hyphened last names like:

"Why are you cheating on me with my baby sister over my father's grave, Roberto Rogelio Francisco Cervantes Valenzuela-Cordoba?"

haha It's hilarious... The first time xD LOL

@A1fredo Hehe. Tha tthing with Spanish or Mexican names, reminds me of a story about Pablo Picasso, the famous painter.

He was born in Spain and his real name is; Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso.

A series of names honouring various saints and relatives. His father's last name was Ruiz and his mother's maiden name was Picasso. It was customary for a boy to take on his father's last name. Ruiz, which was a popular name in Spain.

Later in life when Pablo Picasso became the most famous painter in the world. His friend one day asks him. Why didn't you take your father's last name instead of your mothers?

Pablo looks at him and says: Can you imagine me as Pablo Ruiz?

🙂

@KrunoS haha Wait. What's true and what's not? I''m assuming you know who Pablo Ruiz is and that's a joke, hoping that there's not a historical Pablo Ruiz that Pablo Ruiz got his name from, that I don't know about lol

@A1fredo Hehe., do you mean: Pablo Maximiliano Miguel Coronel Vidoz, also known as Pablito Ruiz and Pablo Ruiz, born on 4 May 1975 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is a singer, actor, and dancer. In 1989, when just 14 years old, he came to prominence with songs like "Proud Girl", "Lady Lady", "Linda", and his cover of Oh Mama, originally recorded by the band Selena y Los Dinos.

Actually I didn't know. But Pablo Picasso died in the 70's when Pablo Ruiz was born. So I guess the story still makes sense. 🙂

@KrunoS Yeah, I don't know much of that stuff, which should be humiliating given I'm a Summa-Cum-Laude Graduate in Interdisciplinary Arts and Performance, but it was an American University, so what did you expect. I can tell you all about Karl Marx though.

I'm kidding... xD

@A1fredo Ha. remind me of another famous quote:

“My mother said to me, ‘If you decided to be a soldier, become a general. If you decided to be a monk, become the Pope.’ Instead, I decided to be a painter, and became Picasso.” - Pablo Picasso

@KrunoS Well... Egos are not my thing... It's one step away from evil.

@A1fredo Fair enough. 🙂

The mentality that it’s ok to take advantage of anyone (pendejos) no integrity, no honor. Mexicans are full of foolish pride, culture is superior to the the gringos, until a Mexican reaches the top then it’s all infighting and crabs in a bucket. Mexicans hate being ruled by other Mexicans but never figure it out until it’s too late.

Pretty God damn accurate, man. You really know about us.

Hard working, dedicated to family, opportunistic, concerned about sewage backups(the last is kinda my least favorite) racist

I enjoy working with Latin Americans way more than us americans.
