I find it interesting and a but muddled this "dark triad" lists those traits but then there is a bit of a confusing disclaimer just behind that - "...psychopathy is subclinical"
Does this mean the so called dark triad is just something imagined or created in the mind of the writer? Subclinical to me means that there is no scientific foundation for the "dark triad".

Good article. The very nature of online socialization can bring about these three traits quite easily regardless of personal values. The largest, perhaps, would be narcissism. Likes, followers, "influencers", celebrity and political status, are all gravitated around. Trends, sensationalism, and shock all come into play when creating many of these larger platforms some people crave.

PC culture has morphed into quite the dysfunctional monster over the decades. What started out as an overly polite manner of discourse (as not to offend) is now taking itself way too seriously.
Example Star Trek:
Boldly go where no man has gone before.
Changed to:
Boldly go where no one has gone before.
Now, light years later, if you were to say man you may be facing some serious backlash for using the word "man". If you were to say "no one" you may face backlash for minimizing pronoun importance.
Words have become so twisted, it's crazy.

Certain words and certain ideas have been made out to be toxic and should be censored instead of irratating and should be debated. It stuns me that students would rather duck tape their mouths shut in peaceful protest than debate Shapiro. (There's a video. I'll look it up) Shapiro is quick, but he's not exactly saying anything that can't be debated.

I sometimes wonder what's influencing what. Is the volume of online socialization affecting the way people interact in real life? Or are the PC culture teachings affecting the way online socialization is being done? Either way, cancel culture is being enforced by both online as well as real life.

I agree. Also, considering the dominant platforms are managed and owned by left leaning groups and individuals, I would venture a guess that right leaning extremists would also favor cancel culture among those very same platforms if they were in charge.

I hope more liberal as well as centrists will speak out more. The tolerance reigns need to be given a lot more slack. I'm unsure how much good it will do. But, I don't relish the idea of living either extreme end of government, left or right. The ridiculous levels it's at already is horrible.
