I know the loudest squeaky wheel gets the grease.. But generally there are dry rusty bearings discovered.
Not this time . Woke stupid , bias politicians & police chiefs in Power need to seriously look in the mirror.. please. This hypocritical defending of fringe radical groups. Because it looks like you're sympathetic to " the cause"... Arrrrr so angry.

To the insane point of arresting pregnant women & anyone else questioning on Facebook. The obvious falicy of their infection narrative cannot be questioned.
I am a Melburnian. I agree that it is a massive double-standard but it is also legal.
The BLM protest was allowed in June while we were in a State of Emergency. SInce then a State of Disaster has been declared which gives the police greater powers. The aim is to stop people from gathering in groups so as to bring community transmission down.
We've had no apologies from the Govt for their pititful handling of the quarantine - from which 99% of the second wave stemmed. No minister has resigned. No-one even wants to take any responsibility. Meanwhile an enquiry has uncovered all sorts of gross incompetence - including a case of a security guard receiving one hour of diversity training but none on infection control!
Nonetheless, too many people just didn't care to follow the social distancing rules when we were in Stage 3 lockdown and the community transmission was getting out of control - so we went to Stage 4. This is why the protests are being stopped. To stop people from gathering in numbers.
The heavy handed tactics are another thing altogether .....
We hear from Chairman Dan tomorrow about when restrictions will be eased. Word is there will be another 2 weeks of Stage 4 and who knows what after that.

It is getting out of hand , as those claiming to be the leaders & so called virus experts. Dish out random restrictions. While BLM & afro indigenous rights . Use false & misleading claims to champion their destructive ideology. Check the true stats out re this 400 odd deaths in custody. Most are not any fault of law enforcement at all.
@Seriousreason Yeah the fact that the BLM protest was lamely allowed to go ahead was just unbelievable. I remember watching footage of how the police in NSW worked to get people back on to trains and out of the CBD. They didn't allow it go on for more than 20 minutes. As for the true situation in indigenous communities, its my understanding that the majority of the violence is black on black. if anything, law enforcement is deliberately lax so as to be 'politically correct'
@Seriousreason Tensions on both sides are high. The Andrews Govt has angered and frustrated a lot of people by barely making a ripple to stop the BLM protest (fining 3 organisers) and not asking the police to move them along as they did in Sydney. Then we hear of quarantine rubbish like security guards getting one hour of diversity training (I kid you not) but NO training on infection control. It's absurd. People want to get back to their lives and for those with businesses, what is left of them. We are used to freedom and this communist style life is hard to cop. I'm not one to get hysterical or protest and clash with the police but I can understand people's frustrations. I think people would feel better if the Govt took some responsibility and we saw some resignations - but it seems hell would have to freeze over first.
As for the deaths in custody - meh. Blacks do it to other blacks. If anything, our police go out of their way to NOT arrest those who should be arrested and to prevent deaths in custody. Jacinta Price is a good one to listen to on these matters.
I would like to know as well. Wasn't there a pregnant woman who got arrested for a facebook post? (Anti lockdown protest I think) But, I see protests are still perfectly fine.
