LOL
You don't have to be right or intelligent to be one of these people... just loud.

The irony is lost on these wet hens..

That is what I hate about protests, because even if there was a trace of intellect before, as on joins the herd, one adopts the mentality of the herd. And that means that no one is thinking, because everyone is thinking the same. Modern day protesters have to be some of the lowest forms of human life. An embarrassment.

@Krunoslav and they seem to be mostly white and middle class

@CHFandango I guess the working class is too busy working to do this kind of stuff.

Former liberal Democrat Ronald Reagan, who later became a conservative Governor of California and 40th President of the US, remarked about one group of protesters carrying signs, "The last bunch of pickets were carrying signs that said 'Make love, not war.' The only trouble was they didn't look capable of doing either."

The "generation gap" between the affluent young and their often poverty-scarred parents was a critical component of 1960s culture. In an interview with journalist Gloria Steinem during the 1968 US presidential campaign, soon-to-be First Lady Pat Nixon exposed the generational chasm in worldview between Steinem, 20 years her junior, and herself after Steinem probed Mrs. Nixon as to her youth, role models, and lifestyle. A hardscrabble child of the Great Depression, Pat Nixon told Steinem, "I never had time to think about things like that, who I wanted to be, or who I admired, or to have ideas. I never had time to dream about being anyone else. I had to work. I haven't just sat back and thought of myself or my ideas or what I wanted to do ... I've kept working. I don't have time to worry about who I admire or who I identify with. I never had it easy. I'm not at all like you ... all those people who had it easy."

Unlike many conservatives, I do not view Leftism as dishonourable or deliberately evil. On the contrary, I respect its impulses and wish they led where they seek to go. I reject them because they lead somewhere entirely different, and rather unpleasant.

Idealism and dogma are easier to sustain in a modern university campus than anywhere else on earth. There, you are free from the influences of home, subsidised into a fake independence which you think you have earned, spared the need to earn your bread, spared contact with the true drama of provincial life, and surrounded by arrogant and self-righteous people in their late teens, much like yourself - who think that they have discovered sex and idealism for the first time in the history of the human race."

― Peter Hitchens, The Broken Compass: How Left and Right Lost Their Meaning

@Krunoslav beautifully put

@Krunoslav Wouldn't be fun to see the reaction if THEY were all told they HAD TO WORK TO EAT!!!!!!!!!

@Serg97 Funny you say that. I have just the quote: "Revolutions occurred in almost every European city with more than 50,000 inhabitants. The occasion for the revolutions was hunger. Soup kitchens were the prelude to revolution. The revolutionaries might talk about socialism, those who actually revolted wanted 'the right to work'- more capitalism, not its abolition.

On the contrary, all experience shows that revolutionaries come from those who are economically independent, not from factory workers. Very few revolutionary leaders have done manual work, and those who did soon abandoned it for political activities. The factory worker wants higher wages and better conditions, not a revolution. It is the man on his own who wants to remake society, and moreover he can happily defy those in power without economic risk.

Increasing prosperity for the capitalists has everywhere brought with it increasing prosperity for the proletariat, instead of the increasing misery which Marx foretold. The most advanced capitalist countries are also those where the working class has the highest standard of life.

Revolutions in short are made in the name of the proletariat, not by it, and usually in countries where the proletariat hardly exists."

― A.J.P. Taylor, The Communist Manifesto

@Krunoslav That is why I asked the question, I KNOW!!!!
My Dad always said, "You can legalise any activity as long as you have to work to eat"!!!! Think about it!!!!!

@Serg97 You must rationalize it before you can legalize it. But the west is heading there for sure.

French Poet Paul Valery wrote:

“There are two ways to acquire the necessities of life:

  1. To produce them or
  2. To plunder them.

When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of people living together in society, they create for themselves in the course of time, a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that glorifies it.”

@Krunoslav Are we talking about Burn, Loot & and Murder and Antifa in the same sentence?????
