What surprises me is why are any people who do not support all the madness in California, still there. I guess some can't leave just like that, but this is long time coming. It didn't happen over night.

A lot of people who've left took their politics with them to destroy the states they migrated to like locust. The baby boomers (of which I happen to be one) are the worst generation.

@wolfhnd Hmm. Yeah, I've hearing that from several people. Texas seems to be a place where the soft left went to escape the hard left of the California, and naturally they didn't change their mind about politics, they just brought it with them. So I'm sure we will see Californiacation of Texas. Maybe Austin first.

What buggles the mind is how all the major cities seem to be democrat run. If I'm not mistaken even in the mighty Texas, Dallas, Huston and Austin, the three major cities have democrat mayors. I mean what could possible go wrong? And from what I hear Austin is in pretty bad shape already.

@Krunoslav Austin is where University of Texas sits - it is no different from any other large universities - the staff, administration, the professors are about 90% anti-american marxist leftist...the city has been "blue" for a very long time. Houston has a very large Black and poor undereducuated White population. Blue through and through. Like everywhere else the "conservative minded" people are scattered in the suburbs and in the rural areas.

@CharliePrime Good point. University educated/indoctrinated individuals do not go and get their hands dirty for real. They do it metaphorically.

@CharliePrime I suppose that is partly the reason why Trump won and may again, he tapped into the group of people which are numbers but ignored for long time. The working blue collar folks. One person, one vote, But they don't use Twitter much and they have not much representation. Trumps rally was a brilliant move to tap into that group of voters. Same people will probably elect him again.
