So, if nobody is interested in doing the right thing, and therefore you must rely on a nanny State instead of principles; how can you expect not to have evil villains willing to kill us all just out of a whim? Hell, let's say somebody bought all the "We want to help and be good" bullshit for all of his life, and then finds out nobody really cares. What's the difference between him doing a mass-shooting and then committing suicide, and somebody lying to make a little extra money here or there? The intensity of desires aren't quantifiable due to their subjectivity. A framework that used to be religion is the only way. Mistakes are made by all because we're human, but if most in society have no principles, then the reason for trying to be good goes away since the world where people can be empathetic to one another and of non-zero sum games won't even be a possibility. There is a way, it just needs to be lay down in order for us all to comprehend it. This won't work and we are all to blame for not attempting redemption as soon as we realize this. If somebody has a rationalization, I'm happy to hear it.
It's like goodness is nowhere to be found. I'm thinking that the beginning of Empires are the best time to be alive, in case somebody does that "when would've been the best time to blah blah blah." Too bad they wouldn't want you there with your reprehensible future pseudomorals.

It's so highly complex, covered up and now, not so much.
I only found goodness in Jesus, or Yehoshua, the proper Hebrew name, which says it all. Hebrew names will sometimes do that.

So, a lot against progress.
You like goodness, I think. So do I.
But here it seems there are 2 broad categories: the hunters(elites, power groups, bullies) and the hunted(a vast group including victims, but various kinds).
So, if you like goodness, others(hunters) know, can exploit that.
If someone is meek, gentle, honest, kind, how will that go?

I am not looking for goodness to have it for myself to enjoy. I am looking for goodness in people's hearts in order for us to blossom as a society out of our current depraved situation. It is extremely obvious we are wrong. But... do you agree that your advise that starts with "I find that scripture helps me" is a selfish endeavor? I appreciate it very much, but yourself escaping from reality with scriptures is in the end just as useful to the rest of us as somebody who escapes on anything else like drugs, sex or gambling. We've got to stop confusing our personal responsibility as having no need to care for others. You may not be responsible for others, but the reality is that society won't work unless we care. Thank you again for your advise. I do appreciate it. But I don't need help, I'm sick of people telling me how to do to be good myself when we are rotten as a dying society. It is beautiful to care, can't we possibly go back to that? Are we such addicts that we cannot think of anything other than ourselves?
