Saw the entire interview. CNN, (the more extreme left in general, actually), always makes these personal attacks on character rather than the actual "thing" they're supposed to be talking about. Health care, race, economy... Name the topic, they can spin it sideways. Lotta acrobatic story coverage.

I actually voted for Ted Cruz in the primaries leading up to the 2016 election. I would vote for him again.
@KeithThroop Trump is the president America needed to prepare the way for President Cruz! Once President Trump has the swamp sufficiently drained, Ted Cruz can be the "presidential" Republican president... or it could be someone else - there are other Republicans who could do quite well too.
@DaveO276 Well, I didn't actually vote for President Trump last time because I didn't trust him. I ended up voting for a third party after Cruz was out of the race -- the Constitution Party candidate. This time around, however, I fully intend to vote for President Trump because he proved he would govern conservatively. In fact, he has been better that the previous "conservatives" I had voted for. As I said, I would vote for Cruz again as the next Republican candidate (after Trump wins again, I hope). But that might change if Pence runs or if there is a better candidate than Cruz, although I couldn't imagine right now who that would be.
