@Krunoslav I remember that one! LOL! He had plenty of gaffes. I still voted for him twice, though.
@KeithThroop I can't remember, what was the alternative back in the Bush day, who was the other candidate? Al Gore I think and someone else?
@Krunoslav First Bush beat Al Gore, and then he beat John Kerry, if memory serves.
@KeithThroop Oh, I know about Al Gore from his power point presentation about his ice cube melting, but I don't think I know who John Kerry is. Oh, well it matters little now. 
@Krunoslav Bush could give good speeches. His problem was when he spoke off the cuff. But the best orator we've had as president in my lifetime has to be Ronald Reagan, who was just about as good at speaking extemporaneously as he was at giving prepared remarks or speeches. I think all those years as an actor certainly served him well.
He was also a terrific leader and a great president. I still count it one of the great privileges of my life to have served with him as my Commander-in-Chief.
