No. Please allow me to explain. First, Facebook like every other service online (Gab, Wordpress, e-mails) live in servers. Servers serve services. And they are merely a computer dedicated to it. So a server is some computer somewhere. Cool.

SERVER

Now, in order to go to Server to get my service, we need an "address" of some sort. An IP address (ex. 342.352.66.12,) but as we don't like numbers, we have these "yellow pages" called DNS. So when you type "MySuperHotPorn.com" on your browser, it goes to the DNS Yellow Pages and it looks for MySuperHotPorn.com ---> 342.352.66.12. Cool, then it rushes to the server now that it knows where it is.

ME >> DNS >> SERVER

That's it, server serves, and it comes back its merry way. So. When you get kicked off Facebook, Wordpress, Gab, they only tell that server computer: "Don't let this asshole in, he's a Nazi." Cool. So by deploying your own Facebook, let's say, you just need a computer (preferibly extra, but not necessary) so it's dedicated to doing that. And, why would you need payment services? It's at your home with an old computer. It represents no extra cost whatsoever.

The only other way to attack it is by banning you from the DNS Yellow Pages. But they can always reach you using your IP address, and there's also the GREEN PAGES (ENS, it's like DNS but based on the Ethereum blockchain,) hence it cannot be messed with. Getting your url there is like five dollars. And voilá. But you probably won't need that.

So yeah, it's that cheap and easy, but if you knew, Facebook, Google, Twitter, all the services ever would not have power anymore. So they like it shushed.

And I haven't been able to experiment with the Fedeverse because I have a cheap Mexican internet connection, so I am behind a Poverty Firewall (NAT) which means I cannot deploy anything because poor But most Americans have what's needed (a public IP) so you should be good. Oh, my point is that using the Fedeverse option, you can deploy your service, and if others also deploy an option compatible with the Fedeverse, your users can interact with the other guys' user seamlessly. That way it's all decentralized with everybody having their services home, and no power for anybody anymore.

Did I explain myself? I'll ble glad to answer any other more questions. I'm really interested in people looking into it. It's a great peaceful way to stop Big Tech. It all can be done for free, it merely needs people to get interested in it to find out.

Also like, those old computers that are just "too slow" so you get a new one. That's Apple messing with your system with updates, or viruses in Windows. Most likely it's perfectly fine. So if you got one of those, that could be your server. Just bypass Mac or Windows, and use Linux. That's the free and honest, good version of MacOS or Windows. Your computer will work like new, and all you have to do is setup whatever service you need in it, and forget about it forever. (Well, maybe eventual maintenance and back up, but no biggies. And they can be setup automatically too.)
