Listening to Talk radio from Toronto today (remember when it used to lean right?) on the show was a former US military officer offering up his "insights" on the US election and state of affairs, and he simply sounded like a democrat propagandist, of course the host was lapping it up, Among his points were:
- Trump has causes irrepairable damage to the US
2)Trump is the cause of the chaos on the streets - Trump is likely to refuse to step aside if he looses
- Trump is a threat to the US constitution
- If trump looses in even a slightly contentious way the radical right will go to war
- If Trump wins the radical left will continue with their chaos
Its beyond naive or stupid perhaps to spout this rhetoric, first off Trump has not done any damage to the US he has extracted them from a pile of foreign adventures, made the UN and NATO start to pay their share, determined that other countries are not owed anything through US trade deals and those foreign countries also don't need the US interfering in their governance. His economic policies have been successful and not primarily for the rich as is often claimed, probably more than any president in the last few decades.
Second the chaos on the streets is wholly the original of the left playing with fire, they have stirred up black and minority grievances with massively exaggerated claims and massive false rhetoric and false accusations against Trump, the Police and other white authority figures.
There is no evidence that Trump will refuse to step aside, he has stated as much and this is a fabrication of the left
The only people talking about changing the 250 yr old constitution are the left, they want to change or stack the supreme court, alter both 1st and 2nd amendment rights and eliminate the electoral college. Trump has made no suggestions about changing the constitution.
The radical right (if it exists in any significant number) has made no suggestions it will not recognize the election, its only indication of violence has been directed at protecting people and property from the angry mobs.
The BLM and ANTIFA bunch will not be satisfied no matter who wins the election, think about this carefully, they will not accept a Trump win (they did not accept 2016) if Biden wins he will be beholden to two groups, the first are the leftists who caused the chaos and acrimony prevalent in US cities now, the other are the media and big business who have done many dirty deeds in service to the Democrats and will surely want payback. SO what are the two groups going to want and which is likley to hold sway with a democrat president and or congress etc? It will surely be the elite business and media empire who are pushing the globalist agenda, this will not satisfy the BLM ANTIFA who are seeking a massive step toward communism. They will soon return to the protest/loot burn regime when their many demands are not met fully. That is where trouble lies!!

Trump was the guaranteed loser in 2016. He would refuse to accept the results. He would go rogue. His supporters would riot. The economy would crumble. The stock market would crash. Taxes would rise. There would be endless new foreign war. Iran and North Korea would attack. Allies would disappear. Americans would flee the country. Ho hum.
As it turns out Hillary lost, and the Democrats refused to accept the results. They blamed the electoral college, then the Russians and then the deplorables. Iran and North Korea stayed in their corners. ISIS was crushed. Terror subsided. Our allies stopped dodging their NATO dues. The military was rebuilt. It was the left who staged a summer of riots, injury and death, and an orgy of property damage.
The woke left constantly accuses their opponents of fear mongering. Yet it’s the left who use effectively use fear over “what if’s”, hidden agendas and vague possibilities. This fortune telling spares progressives from having a discussion about real goals and policies.

've been around for quite a few presidents and I've never seen the press and the opponents so obnoxious and unfair, you have to admire him for his fortitude at least. I am not his biggest fan I think he's rude, self centered and petty, but I think he is the symptom of the times not the reason for the decline in civility or decency. However I also think that the old adage judge a man by his actions not his words is a better way to evaluate politicians since a) they lie alot and b) many do nothing at all. So by that criteria he has been much better than expected. His economic ideas were simple but good, repatriating huge amounts of foreign parked cash and then encouraging it being invested in capital at home, along with tax cuts all great for the middle class. His plain talk with foreign nations and his lack of interest in foreign wars actually made America more credible in many respects. He talked nice to Russia and North Korea but was ruthless in his sanctions and other actions, he was dead right about Iran and its paid huge dividends in the Middle East. He has been exactly right on China anyone who understands it well knows this as do Hong Kong and Taiwan. As for the domestic scene he has demonstrated little of the things he is accused of, he clearly has no white supremist leanings and is not a racist, he has moved the needle more for minorities than any of the democrat's who proceeded him. He did not handle COVID any different than any other world leader yet the narrative goes otherwise , it does appear he is a skeptic of the severity like many Americans. I
The Democrats in their mindless, hateful rage have adopted policies and strategies which are not conceived to improve any aspect of American life but are almost entirely anti trump in a gigantic cut of your nose to spite your own face move. In so doing they have aligned themselves with dangerous elements of elitists and communists which have the potential to not only damage the US but cause untold harm to the world democratic movement.
I don't know that I have lived through a more consequential election in my time.

Um, when has he stated this? Time and time again he's refused to say he'd accept the election results and peacefully transition. He has said time and time again that the only way he will lose of it is rigged, fomenting discord among his supporters. To imply anything different is a complete fabrication.
Also, if you see what I posted earlier, a bunch of armed Trump supporters attacked a Biden campaign bus. So don't pretend that Trump sycophants wouldn't respond with violence if he lost.

First off its probably a mistake to rely on CNN (or other established media) for Trump quotes, and as far as sycophants it certainly appears to me that those aligned against trump have done a lot more damage and physical harm than a bunch of people heckling Biden. You have listened to total lies and fabrications for 4 years and never let a critical thought enter your head. Yet you are willing to twist Trump's musing into literal actions, which of course is just more leftist dishonesty.
@dirtbill Trump literally says it on live TV. And on Twitter. And during the debates. Stop clinging to CNN as your bogeyman. Clearly the only one without critical thinking skills is you.
