What's worse than a 2 party system? A 1 party system, even if it's your party. Totalitarianism is inevitable.
You will lose control of the party. The party will control the primaries through money. The potential for quality control disappears. Oligarchs and the media will pile on.
Democrats need Republicans and they need Trump, to enforce quality control over the Democratic party.
Their hate of trump is a smokescreen to cover Democratic corruption.
I see Democratic party corruption as the number 1 voting issue.

If there's something you don't like in the democratic party, the only way to fight it is with help from
republicans. A wise democrat would team up with Trump.
People who reflexively hate republicans are guilty of missing opportunities through oversimplification and bias.
Democrats should take a moment to think how they can find synergy with Trump.
Now there is no check on radical democrats or the oligarchs. They will miss Trump.

A well-functioning 2-party system requires that it be possible for both parties to win.
If a party is trying to tilt the playing field to make it permanently impossible for the other party to
ever win again, then you vote against that party. This is how people used to vote. Obama is guilty of tilting and Biden will certainly tilt.
Credit Bill Clinton and previous Democrat presidents for not tilting.

Actually, a three or more party system is even worse than a 1 party system, because it guarantees armed conflict. History proves it endlessly.
I totally agree that Trump derangement is denial of their own corruption - consciously AND unconsciously.

To paraphrase Arrow's theorem, there does not exist a perfect election system. Arrow's theorem is relevant when there are 3 or more candidates. The outcome depends on the election system.
