California Gov. Newsom Says No COVID Vax For Masses, Pleads With Californians to Wear Masks

Gov. and HHS Secretary blame imminent COVID spike on ‘private household gatherings as place of source of spread’

California Gov. Gavin Newsom performed his noon update on California’s response to the coronavirus, continuing to instill the state’s residents with ongoing fear, while insisting compliance with the mask mandate… um, “guidelines.”

The state is still under a significant lockdown with restaurants, gyms, salons, and many other businesses only allowed 25% capacity. Restaurants are closing at an alarming rate.

With the news Monday that Pfizer announced their vaccine against COVID-19 achieved success in the first interim analysis from a Phase 3 Study showing that the vaccine prevented more than 90% of infections with the virus, Gov. Newsom rained on that parade. He quickly said that mass distribution of the vaccine was “way off.” Instead, he told the state’s residents, “don’t let your guard down,” and discouraged everyone from “going back to their original form.”

“Wear a mask,” he said numerous times during the press conference. “Physically distance, socially distance and don’t let your guard down.” That last statement he explained means Californians need to quit trying to get your lives back to normal. “Let us double down on non-pharmaceutical interventions,” he added, warning that another COVID spike is imminent. “Wear a mask.”

To which the question must be, “If masks work, why is there a COVID-19 spike coming?”

The short answer is that lockdowns of health people only delay the inevitable spread of a virus, as we are seeing in Europe.

The governor and his California Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Mark Ghaly, blame this upcoming spike on “private household gatherings as place of source of spread.” Dr. Ghaly also said essential work places, places of worship and restaurants are to blame. But he stressed “household gatherings” at the real culprit.

California Globe reported in October more than 30,000 medical practitioners and medical & public health scientists recently released a letter called the Great Barrington Declaration, telling politicians who continue to keep people in lockdown, they are causing more health issues and deaths than COVID-19.

Pfizer reported on their vaccine:

Vaccine candidate was found to be more than 90% effective in preventing COVID-19 in participants without evidence of prior SARS-CoV-2 infection in the first interim efficacy analysis
Analysis evaluated 94 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in trial participants
Study enrolled 43,538 participants, with 42% having diverse backgrounds, and no serious safety concerns have been observed; Safety and additional efficacy data continue to be collected
Submission for Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) planned for soon after the required safety milestone is achieved, which is currently expected to occur in the third week of November
Clinical trial to continue through to final analysis at 164 confirmed cases in order to collect further data and characterize the vaccine candidate’s performance against other study endpoints

As California Globe has reported, American’s Front Line Doctors, which exist to counter the massive disinformation campaign regarding the pandemic, warn that U.S. Governors’ attempt to ban hydroxychloroquine is the real problem.

Dr. Simone Gold who is also a lawyer, exposed a “massive disinformation campaign” about coronavirus and treatment, and was rewarded with de-platforming by Facebook, Google and Youtube.

Recently the doctors responded to Presidential nominee Joe Biden when he addressed voters in Falcon Heights, Minnesota, devoting his remarks to the COVID-19 pandemic:

He said, “Dr. Fauci called last week for a mask mandate. This isn’t a political statement. It’s a patriotic duty, for God’s sake.” Biden threw his support behind a national mask mandate in the second presidential debate. In August he publicly supported a second round of lockdowns for millions of fed-up Americans.

Dr. Simone Gold, MD, JD, a board-certified emergency physician and founder of America’s Frontline Doctors who has successfully treated COVID-infected patients, today released the following statement in response:

“Joe Biden’s unenforceable mask mandate is a distraction from proven treatments which could start curbing avoidable COVID-related infections and deaths immediately while helping those already infected recover more quickly. Biden’s mask rhetoric is political theater masquerading as a medical strategy. It is not a plan to stop the virus.

“If Joe Biden wants the American people to trust him with a national response to the coronavirus he must do much more than mask-scolding. He needs to expand early treatment options and follow the advice of doctors on the front lines of this crisis instead of the public-health bureaucrats who continue to politicize medical science while millions of ordinary Americans suffer.”

The doctors have a map on their website showing which states allow for hydroxychloroquine, and which make it difficult or impossible – note that California is “fairly difficult:”

Newsom said whatever vaccine is used, it will be in short supply and will go to front line workers first. No mention of the use of hydroxychloroquine for those who already have COVID-19, despite the doctors saying Biden’s Mask Mandate Isn’t a Plan to Stop COVID-19.

Lastly, a member of the media asked Gov. Newsom at the end of his press conference, “Have you spoken to President Elect Biden since the race was called Saturday?” And if Gov. Newsom will continue with the all-vote-by-mail-elections?

“I leaned in on vote-by-mail,” Newsom said, but quickly added that he still believes in voting in person. He touted how many Californians Biden/Harris are tagging for their administration, and how this bodes well for expanding the California agenda nation-wide.

“We are not waiting for President Trump to walk away – we are already working with heads of agencies,” Newsom said.

He ended his press conference with a shot at media outlets who reported that he and his administration issued restrictive holiday gathering guidelines: “Some knowingly represented that we issued Thanksgiving guidelines,” he said, once again saying that he hasn’t, but will be soon.

“Please, please, please take this seriously,” Newsom pleaded. “A vaccination will come but not soon enough.” He said 44 people are dying a day in California of COVID-19. He did not mention that everyday in California, 750 people die from a range of diseases and accidents.

This reminds us when Gov. Newsom Tweeted out a recent ridiculous message:

“Going out to eat with members of your household this weekend? Don’t forget to keep your mask on in between bites. Do your part to keep those around you healthy. #SlowtheSpread [covid19.ca.gov.&rdquo];

Gov. Newsom is doubling down on restrictions to the people of California rather than protecting the most vulnerable, appearing part of a nationwide strategy of the Democrat Party.

971,851 “cases” = people who tested positive for COVID-19
18,946,628 Californians tested negative for COVID-19 (California COVID dashboard does not include this number)
17,977 deaths in California attributed to COVID-19

California is a state of 40 million residents. What about the other 39,982,023 residents who are restricted in one way or another because of Gov. Newsom’s lockdown, mandatory mask wearing order, or the businesses with limited re-openings and restrictions?
