Sky news (Australian news?) reporting on American news clear bias and lack of trustworthiness. Half our country has seen this bias and we haven’t trusted the “Fourth Estate” for years. Their immense power has eroded due to their abuse of power and use of this power as a weapon against the American people.

The statement, “the shameful conduct of the mainstream media has simply smashed their credibility and authority, and I’m not sure it can be repaired. Put simply, they’re not worthy of your trust, because you can not rely on what they tell you” is clear and true.

I can’t imagine ever trusting them the way I used to and that falls squarely on their shoulders. The only thing that would give them any credibility and chance to be forgiven in order to begin the process of becoming trusted again would be if they were to 1) publicly admit the wrongs they have been publicly commuting, 2)“repent” (turn away from their current path) and3) begin to do the right thing (report all the facts without their spin/analysis). When we do somebody wrong we should also do our best to make it up to them (after we stop doing them harm). They have done all American citizens (their viewers) wrong, by betraying our trust and lying to us. They need to correct all lies and “mistakes” and tell the truth about each of those lies. It will take 10 times of them telling the truth about each lie they told (that’s 10 times for each time they told that lie) before they can correct the records. Otherwise, there will always be doubt about which of their statements was really true.

This may seem to be asking more from them than is reasonable, but “with great power comes great responsibility”. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t actually believe they will ever do any of this. This is simply what I believe would be necessary for them to be trusted again.

Msm is only a thin veneer over the corruption of the democrats.

My suggestion (apart from a congressional investigation) is a reinstatement of two laws that had been removed from the books that guided and in some ways restricted the msm. They are the “equal time” and “balanced reporting” laws that made it clear that the information coming to the public needs to be impartial and complete in its presentations.

The msm are supposed to report the news, period. They do not have to analyze it, make commentaries, offer opinions - that is for an informed public to decide
