Truth telling.... but just who is doing the telling and whose truth is true?
Here in Australia Aborigines and their PC LW Progressive elitists all like to mention... truth telling... but just whose truth are they telling and just how truthful is that telling? Is it historically accurate? Is it logical? Does it reflect reality?
Usually in the case of Progressives the answer is always no...

Currently we have a "historian" being feted by the Progressive Left, he claims to be Aboriginal (even though no Aboriginal groups accept that) and that his version of history is the real one. However there is nothing factual that backs up his historical fantasy. The ABC our Woke National Broadcaster backs him up 100%. Another problem is that his book is now being circulated throughout the National education system and promoted as TRUTH.

The MSM here is largely left leaning and Progressive... they all consider themselves "truth tellers" and like all Progressives... they do not tolerate dissent. Recently the ABC's declaration that journalists are truth tellers coincided with the apology issued by CNN chief international correspondent Christiane Amanpour for comparing Donald Trump’s term in office with Nazi Germany. More "truth telling"?

In November, Amanpour said on CNN: “This week, 82 years ago, Kristallnacht happened. It was the Nazis’ warning shot across the bow of our human civilisation that led to genocide against a whole identity and, in that tower of burning books, it led to an attack on fact, knowledge, history and proof. After four years of a modern-day assault on those same values by Donald Trump, the Biden-Harris team pledges a return to normal.”

So is Amanpour an unbiased, intelligent, well-informed and much travelled journalist? Is she a "truth teller"? It appears not. Mind you TDS is in epidemic proportions on CNN and in the US MSM.

For starters, Kristallnacht had nothing to do with a “tower of burning books”. The book burnings took place in 1933. Kristallnacht - 1938. Oops...
So not factual and not accurate, just another load of emotive claptrap. The usual stuff from the Progressive Left. One, seldom reported, good thing though was that Amanpour actually apologised later for this defamatory slur. Trump and his Administration are and were, nothing like the Nazi regime and Hitler. Mind you it was a hopelessly inadequate apology. But one nonetheless.

So how is this "truth telling" how many more Progressives have echoed the same sort of things in attacking Trump? Do they honestly believe what they say and write? Do they believe really that Trump and his supporters share the “same values” as Hitler and his supporters? Really?

Of course we all know these are not truthful statements. Hitler came to power following widescale violence and intimidation. (We all know what side has recently used those tactics). And he remained in power by establishing a ruthless totalitarian dictatorship, until Germany was finally defeated.
Trump, on the other hand, won a democratic election in 2016 and his administration has governed in accordance with the requirements of the US Constitution, promoted peace and done much for its people.

It does a grave disservice to history to compare like with unlike. It is in fact... lying.

The historical hyperbole encourages the likes of other Trump haters to continue the lies and promote hatred, where none is necessary or warranted. We then get the pile-ons with people like: Robert De Niro, Alec Baldwin, Madonna, Amy Schumer, etc, etc, etc... Celebrities should perhaps just stay silent and be happy with what they have in life. Someone needs to tell them, their opinions don't mean more than anyone elses.

No US president has made himself more available to the media than Conald Trump. No US president IMO, has experienced a more hostile media than Trump. During his administration, more journalists and commentators than usual became activists in the bipolar world of US politics. They overwhelmingly fell on the anti-Trump side, led of course by CNN with a help from MSNBC and others.

If Trump shared the same values as Hitler, he would have closed down CNN and Amanpour would have been incarcerated and possibly murdered. Baldwin, De Niro and co, would have suffered a similar fate. Hollywood would have been shut and its actors, directors and producers purged. The film industry would have been compelled to make Leni Riefenstahl-style propaganda films in support of the Trump regime.

Sure, Trump at times engaged in what he called out others for... fake news. But not as much as those whose critique of him involved "truth telling" that was as far from the truth as you can get.
