As in any normal flu season the vulnerable will die, so whether a person points to 2018 when mortality rates were on par with covid, or previous incidents, the flu will always be a danger. It’s cyclic - winter flu season sees more people dying. Summertime, fewer.

And cases prove nothing apart from people had it and recovered - assuming the tests are accurate! The CDC has pointed out that antibody tests can’t determine the difference between covid and the common cold, and the PRS process isn’t to be used for testing - not a diagnostic tool according to its inventor.

I have not heard of any, we normally lose about 100,000 to those Flus every year, except 2020!!!

@Serg97 I saw a report last week showing basically zero flu deaths in the 2020-2021 flu season. I’m almost certain they were listed as COVID-19 instead, whether they were or not.

@Serg97, Johns Hopkins released a study that claimed COVID-19 did not raise the US death rate in 2020. The report was pulled from the Web the week it was posted. But I saw it and copied it.

@Serg97 I haven’t checked those figures, but I can say that for Canada the 2018 H1N1 or whatever it was saw a mortality rate almost equal at its peak the same number as covid....statscanada will have the numbers back to 2014 that clearly show the mortality rate is actually LOWER this year than at any year of the past six, yet here we are in another useless lockdown

My wife (and yes I am going to use that gender identify word, at least it is so far) has a Masters Degree in nursing, and over 25 years experience in an ER, said last march, "it's the F-ing Flu, it is here to stay, get over it" and we both had it and got over it!!!!!
