Isn't it the responsibility of the City of Portland Mayor and the Governor of the State to put down civil disturbances like this?

They haven't for the last year, maybe the right word is the empathy left, it is there only way they make decisions and this emotion, empathy is politically incorrect to ever question. My dog has empathy too. As we are seeing it is a lousy destructive way to govern. It like a mom with her spoiled undisciplined kid that no one wants to be around. She never can correct or enforce boundaries. The girl boss who was indoctrinated not need a man. Mansplaing is verboten.
Portland has been in near continuous riots for over a year now. They have destroyed the city core. But the media is not reporting on this much at all. They overwhelmingly voted for Biden. They have a leftist Mayor who was almost displaced by an even more leftist mayor. I see no reason why Biden would do anything to put down the insurrection. Biden can allow it to continue as there is no downside politically in doing nothing but considerably risk in intervening.
