I think it's a far stretch to suggest that this is all being done intentionally to the American people in order to make them more pliable to rule under the so-called New World Order, but only because I subscribe to the maxim that says do not attribute to malice that which can be attributed to incompetence.
Or said differently, I'm willing to believe our politicians never remotely considered the consequences of doing this to the American people before they actually did it, thinking that it was "no big deal," and "we have to do SOMETHING." Those in power seldom think about the consequences to decisions except in how it effects their immediate sphere of influence. If they did, there wouldn't be many wars.
