If your goal for this post was to attempt to prove that only blacks get mistreated by the justice system, then you failed in that goal.

I am not about to downplay the death of Terrill Thomas, he obviously didn't deserve that fate at the hands of then Sheriff Clarke's thugs in uniform. Coincidentally, there was another man whose last name was also Thomas who was murdered by the police, and his name was Kelly Thomas. Like TT, KT also suffered from mental illness, and during a confrontation with the police he was savagely beaten with some experts claiming that to be among one of the worst ever cases of police brutality, and supposedly KT choked to death on his own blood. Again, I do not downplay the death of Terrill Thomas, no one deserves to die like that at the hands of the police, but I did want to point out that all this ado over the justice system being prejudiced against strictly blacks is pure horseshit. The problem we face with police brutality runs far deeper than just some racist thug cops, the true problem is what they have become allowed to get away with, and also the type of weapons and equipment they are allowed to utilize. The police unions have become too powerful, and guess which political party generally supports worker unions?

Ever see a photo of one of our service men/women in full gear fighting overseas, and compare it alongside with a photo of a typical riot cop dressed in full gear? The riot cops these days wear more body armor than the troops overseas do, and the troops go up against suicidal terrorists armed with RPGs, talk about screwed-up priorities. If we truly want an end to police brutality, we the people need to insist that the cops have to give up alot of their "toys" (generously provided by the taxpayers no less), and take some power away from their unions and then maybe just maybe the situation with police brutality may improve. In the meantime, let's stop pretending police brutality is something only blacks have to fear, that's an issue we all should be concerned about, as a cop who has become "drunk" on their own power(s) cares not about the race of potential "customers" (aka, victims of police brutality). Please note my restraint in talking about how police forces across the country have pretty much degenerated into businesses as opposed to be working for the people, businesses that prey upon unsuspecting citizens, but that's a whole other issue altogether.

There are far more injustice systems in the US than two.

Two of the people responsible for Thomas's death were black. There were 7 other in custody death in the two years the same woman was in charge. Doesn't sound like a white patriarchy problem.
