Not even close to my understanding of the early ancient Church. He was considered fully God by vast numbers of 1st century followers. Those councils were more about putting down heresies and reconciling interpretations of "old" scripture with new teachings and revelations.

He wasn't made more god-like but acknowledged as God made flesh.

Yeah, I feel like we might ought to try to organize a volunteer drive for poll watchers and count observers, and also really pay attention to and voice support/opposition where voting procedure adjustments are proposed in coming months and years. It's about all we got.

Look up the "battle of Athens" Tennessee, 1946 I think. That story needs to be dramatized and widely told. It was an armed defense of free and fair elections against corrupt machine politics, and it was Just, decidedly not "insurrection."

@ZuzecaSape I've been preaching secession since the late 80s. Except for slavery, the Confederacy was right and had the right to leave the Union. Chief Justice Taney confirmed it to Lincoln... and Lincoln threatened to have him locked up if he said that in public. If the people who created the Union can't leave it of their own free will, then it's not much of a free Republic, is it? Let the lefties have their communism and the rest of us can have freedom instead.

I'm honestly surprised police haven't quit en masse. They get no respect from the Left, but frequently protect them; they get respect from the Right, but put those guys in jail, where they're subject to a prejudicial court system that inflates charges for political points. In fact, the police have lost a lot of pals on the Right now too. They're fighting a losing battle, enforcing the orders of a corrupt system that's destined to fail.

If they keep this up, they'll be battling Red Guards in urban warfare firefights and brought before Truth and Reconciliation boards to make atonement for their "crimes" against POC and the working class. If they wonder why no one's coming to help them, perhaps they'll realize they alienated their only allies. Every time I see statues being torn down, I wonder where the police are. If I vandalized a statue, I'd probably be arrested immediately, charged with a hate crime, and accused of sedition. They're not making any friends, that's for sure.

If I were them, now would be a good time to consider going rogue. Surely they talk amongst themselves. They can't do their job anymore. They're at the mercy of the mob. But if they really wanted to, they have the weapons and the organization. They could set things in order right quick, if they wanted.

If they don't, someone will.

@ZuzecaSape There are leftist indoctrinated cops, there are racist (kkk type) cops, and the are good cops who take their pledge to the constitution seriously. And believe it or not, I've met all three. All in all though, it's not the cops that aren't doing their jobs. It's the police chiefs and mayors that keep them from being able to do their job. Plenty good cops have quit, leaving room for the leftist yes-men, willing to go down on the powers that be (chief and mayor). The last battle lays on the shoulders of the sherriff and his deputies and I trust them a thousand percent more than I do a bunch of ampted up, self-righteous vigilantes. We are not mad max yet. When we are, then the vigilante can protect the defenseless.

@MichelleD Vigilance committees get a bad wrap, but in the event of a SHTF scenario, it's best to have one formed up and prepped before you need it.

@ZuzecaSape You guys just went on and on while I was sleeping, lol. I think, as I believe many of the Founding Fathers believed, that we need a revolution and radical change in government every few generations. Corruption seeps in over time, no matter how a nation is formed. It can come from without, or within, or both, but it always happens. Once it happens, the nation no longer functions as it was intended to and begins to idolize the extremes of the society that formed it and twists that society into something it wasn't to begin with. There are plenty of examples of it in history from ancient Egypt right up to today.

We live in a time where the ideals of the founders are no longer supported by the masses, or the government they created. Police and the BM & Antifa and Republocrats and Demicans are only symptoms of the real problem. We need a great reset (small letters, not Klaus' version) of the Constitution & we need term limits for every branch of government & we need 1 page laws (where we need laws at all, which is a rare thing, IMHO) in simple language and we need NO donations of money or any asset not related to elections for politicians (for instance, a politician can be given air time to make a political ad, but not a jet to fly here and there and everywhere and definitely NO money because then the bribes become more valuable than the income from the job itself).
