Hehe. I just read the passage, since I don't use Google anymore. God does indeed do His pleasure with man's attempts at self-rule. But what I find most intriguing in this chapter is v43. It is clearly linked to Gen 6 and "the days of Noah", yet this verse is telling us that what happened in Gen 6 is somehow not happening again. The "they" here is other than the seed of men that would want to mingle with "the seed of men", but would be unsuccessful.
"they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay".
So if the Gen 6-type cleaving has been estopped, it will have to be the "spiritual being veterans" of that former age that will be doing the mischief.
