Canadian Man Jailed After ‘Misgendering’ His Daughter
"Hoogland is opposed to his teenage daughter going through transgender-related medical procedures, and has repeatedly expressed his opposition in the hopes of saving his child from irreversible damage.
The Canadian medical system, the legal system, and the child’s mother, however, have gone forward with the “social and medical transition” of Hoogland’s daughter, the report adds."

I can't even wrap my head around this. I'm pretty much as libertarian as they come...except where it concerns the abuse of animals and children.
This girl is a child.
Once she hits 18 if she wants to go full transition, God bless her. But until then, she is a minor and is subject to the will of BOTH of her parents unless they themselves revoke their parental rights.

It's not even a matter of saving your child...the state has declared that its right to push a political agenda supersedes your personal rights to resist that narrative, even where your children are involved.
The ramifications of this legal precedent will far exceed just transgenderism. The state is basically saying that they can do whatever they want to your children now and you do not have the right to say no.
Catering to a person’s mental illness doesn’t help. The child needs treatment.
