What really frustrates me is that the true freedom of speech never existed and never will. Whether disguised as McCarthyism, Spanish inquisition, political correctness, social media platforms community guidelines... it's always been curbed,suppressed and manipulated for ONE reason: power grabbing

@GeeMac The publisher of Dr. Seuss' books was founded by his family. They must protect his good name. I think it's the case of they are damned if they cancel Dr. Seuss' books (well, some of them) and damned if they don't.

@Lt-JW The UK provides for freedom of expression as a qualified right that may be restricted in certain circumstances as prescribed by law, in other words, there are limits on freedom of expression. Free speech is a verbal action, so like any other behaviours, it has to be contained within legal boundaries, I guess. As for the principle of freedom of speech, if you are a true advocate of free speech, you respect the ability to speak as well as the ability to be heard, and therefore, you sometimes end up having to defend someone you disagree with. I am yet to meet such a person.
