And here I thought BLM was about black lives and not politics...
So let's recap: BLM wants Trump in prison; any politicians who questioned the election results expelled from Congress and barred from re-election; ALL police departments defunded; and both the military and Capitol police throughly investigated for their ties to white supremacy. Anything else? Maybe another million dollar house for your co-founder?
Anyone still think BLM is about promoting black lives? If so, Secoriea Turner's (1) and Jaslyn Adam's (2) parents would like a word with you because BLM hasn't had a thing to say about the death of their daughters.
(1) Secoriea was an 8yo girl killed by armed BLM protesters in Atlanta because her mother tried to go around an illegal barrier they set up in the middle of the road. She was black and so are the alleged shooters. Curiously, BLM had nothing to say about violence done in their name, not even to denounce the depraved-heart murder of a child.
(2) Jaslyn was a 7yo girl shot six times by alleged gangbanger while she sat in her father's car in the drive-thru of a McDonald's. She was black and so is the alleged shooter. Curiously, BLM instead decided that week to protest the death of Adam Toledo - an alleged gangbanger who'd been shooting at cars in the wee hours of the morning - because he was shot and killed by police while resisting arrest. The irony here is palpable.

People that don't suffer the consequences of their policies should not be in leadership positions. So why do we keep electing them and allow them to run our institutions from corporations to universities?
BLM is like the lobbyists for any special interest group. The lobbyist first concern is to keep their position. Since we no longer insist that CEO compensation be tied to performance why would we expect that lobbyists be any different? The breakdown of meritocracy in all it's forms is tied to increased democratization. All our decisions are based on feelings and not productivity. Positions of power on networking ability not competence. We have elected to be mediocre because that is what democracies do. Who wants to live up to the standards real leaders demand?
