These people are morally adrift and clueless, themselves.
...yet somehow we let them worm their way into mentor-positions for our own emotionally- and intellectually-vulnerable children; to the point of drowning out our own influence over their development.
Seriously... keep your kids as far away from public schools as you can, and apparently you can't turn your back on these private schools either. I think you need to get involved and stay involved.
If the school tries to push back... that's just a warning-flag that you need to get more involved.
If they are afraid to let you see the curriculum, or to seek your consent for it... it's because they already know you wouldn't approve... so they do it anyway. Surreptitiously... behind your back.
Your childrens' education is your business, and yours alone. The proxies you hire to help out need to do so on your terms, and yours alone.
If they go to Public school... the Government has, explicitly, no business trying to teach "morals" to your children. They can't even teach reading/writing/arithmetic right in the first place.
If they go to Private school... then I guess whether they teach morals is up to you and the other parents. But, if I'm paying them to teach "morals"... they damn well better be my morals.

And if your kids get quiet, nothing to say, just 'fine, just 'no problem', pull them out fast. They can't tell you, it's that bad. There's ALL kinds of help online for zny subject. But parents gotta care, look.
