The UN does not like Putin because he does not want to join them. Remember Davos speech. They have been trying to smear Putin and sabotage him for a long time now. Sending "peaceful protesters" he kicked out. Russia collusion propaganda. Sanctions etc. Biden/Obama being deeply involved with Ukraine shenanigans. So I wonder who is the other guy in Russia working for? Soros maybe? They installed Biden to power , why would they not try the same in Russia? Putin is not innocent, but he is also not what they say he is. I think here JP maybe used the lazy reference to Putin without doing more research on the peculiarities of Putin's public image.
Its like Trump in some ways, getting blamed for all the things he didn't do and not getting recognition for things he did do. When it comes to Putin public image, I think there is a similarly there, which is probably why Putin felt sympathetic for Trump.

The line isn’t difficult to understand - Putin is a thorn in the side of the UN hence his “bad boy” reputation. Look no further than Trump to see the association.
I’d believe Putin before Biden or Soros or Trudeau!
@Rick-A Yeah. Putin seems to me is not an ideologue but a pragmatist, Similar to Trump. They both seems nationalist but not xenophobic just patriotic. After all they were both against unchecked mass immigration and were both against the whole globalist new world order agenda. I'm sure Putin to survive has to play dirty politics and has to make compromises with the oligarch to stay in power and to keep somewhat of a stability in post Soviet Russia, which next to keeping himself in the office seems to be his priority. But he is not a madman or only self serving from what I was able to see. He is still doing what he thinks is best for him, his party position, his country. Similar to Trump. They have very different personalities, but are more similar than it might appear. And the people who smear them are the same people, so one might say the have the same enemies as well.
JP, could have used Soros or Trudeau, or Xi, or Boris or Merkel, he chose Putin. I wonder if that is warranted. Because as far as I can see, Russians are benefiting more from Putin than Germans are from Merkel, UK from Boris, or Canada from Trudeau, or world from Mark. If he is going to choose a bad guy to compare , Putin seems like a lazy choice of a scape goat, rather than legit comparison. After all I don't see much in common between Mark and Putin.
Anyway, just my observation.
