My generation learned some Latin roots, grammar, punctuation, math, history, human anatomy, and so forth, but the most valuable part of our curriculum was how to criticize and synthesize concepts. So much less than our great grandparents. By the way, truckers use the formula for calculating volume of their loads daily without an app.

One of my greats grand mother met her husband on the ship over (sailing ship). They settled in Philadelphia with him being a brick maker. The city had a masquerade ball after which she was jailed for wearing men's cloths as her disguise. After which they packed up and moved on south. All this before the United States even existed. But women have always been oppressed by men. How's that female oppression working out now in Philadelphia?
