@Krunoslav Similar, but not on an indefinite basis at this stage (currently it's 2-3 weeks of detention) - and it's not happening much. I think the politicians and media would have to cook up a whole lot more fear for the general public to accept it. And at the moment the general public is well over all the restrictions and BS (the anti-mandate protests are getting more frequent and bigger). Even the vaxxed are getting angry that things haven't returned to normal and the government is trying to push more jabs. The harder the government and media push, the more people are starting to wake up and get fed up. There's elections coming up soon too, so the government is trying to play it safe because there are some smaller parties against mandates that may win too many seats for the main parties to hold the same level of power they currently have.

It looks like Cuomo was not a team player. He probably wanted to have greater control over his local turf, and the higher-ups didn’t like that. So they MeToo-ed him and brought in a more radical lefty order follower. They didn’t get Cuomo on corruption and murdering the elderly because that is what Gretchen Whitmer did as well, but unlike Cuomo, she followed orders. So they can always MeToo Cuomo and his brother and bring in someone more radical but who is also a team player.
