First off they clearly stated their reason, she’s 15 a minor so if you are confused about the difference between the two there is more than just race but god forbid we miss an opportunity to cry racism. now don’t get me wrong i think the age defense is pretty poor and i think she should be disqualified but there is a reason other than race. now sure it’s a bit conspiratory but if you need another reason you might want to look at the political reasons as well. i mean you really think games being held in China are about to disqualify a Russian? like that too is a very big difference between being an American in Japan, hell being an American in basically any country that ian’t the US. just look at all the disqualifications that have favored China this year and many are questionable and could easily be challenged and probably won if it wouldn’t hurt China and wouldnt likely be dangerous to do. so yeah, race could be a factor but if you’re looking for something else it’s not very hard. and frankly the other options are definitely a little more plausible. like i don’t know Richardson’s record (and being an American idk if it matters since any chance to take America out they’ll do it regardless of color) but i’d venture to guess if it was likely she could win they would have taken her out regardless of skin.

One major difference between the two incidents is that cannabis is an "illegal" substance. It is universally illegal to possess cannabis. They don't test for cannabis as a performance enhancing substance. They test for it because it is an "illegal" substance. Unless the "Black young lady" American had a legitimate written prescription for cannabis I can see why she was banned. It possible I suppose that even if she did have a prescription for cannabis the organization might still have banned her. It had NOTHING to do with the color of her skin. Frankly the instant I hear someone - anyone crying about racism; maltreatment "because they be Black" turns me against them and I don't need nor want to hear anything further from them.
The Russian skater issue. Obviously she was given a performance enhancing drug. The decision to let her compete in the Olympic games probably does have a lot to do with corruption within the International Olympic Committee. That is a totally unrelated matter to the business of banning of an athlete who was screened for illegal substances and caught "ride'n dirty"

yup I mean they came out and said it was because of her age and because the drug take. was given to her by coaches so to hold her wholely accountable would be a bit extreme. i personally disagreed since she is a rep if her country and the team shouldnt be allowed to compete. sure it sucks for her but while sure she’s competing it’s the country that gets the glory which is why I’d agree with you it’s more about the corruption in the Olympics and the politics of it all.
