Well yes, considering that is a common manifestation of obedience to authority.

@Letemdangle The whole point of the piece was that 'fools' are just a natural phenomenon, and so is there obedience.
@AdrianRainbow But would they be as foolish if their bellies were empty? Figuratively speaking.
It is not a fact that the same person who wants to be led also wants to operate on their own initiative.

How so?
@Krunoslav Low IQ and high IQ/ low emotional maturity people - about half the population, look to others to tell them what to think. High IQ/mature people tend to be self-actualized and have no interest in being led.
@TimTuolomne That view involves the concept of people being born stupid, as apposed to people being responsible for their own stupidity. We are not born stupid, we are born largely ignorant .To become and remain stupid, requires effort. In other words its a choice, and with the power choice come personal responsibility.
If you want to argue that there are genetic components to follow by the majority, I would agree. After all if everyone were leaders, concept of leader would be meaningless. But problem is when people don't follow leaders because they share same convictions, but because they trade safety for the responsibility that comes from coming with the realization of having power to choose.
@Krunoslav According to psychologists, as large a number of people are born unable to think for themselves, as there are brilliant people who can. That is the concept of the IQ curve.
@TimTuolomne According to common sense, intelligence is measured in part by whether or not you believe in the concept of IQ. Obviously, I don't think IQ is a measure of a person's intelligence. Therefore I reject the concept entirely. Making the argument about IQ curve, just as unconvincing to me as it was at the beginning of this conversation.
IQ is a bureaucratic tool, invented by the bureaucrats for the needs of the bureaucrats. It has not relations to people's intelligence, even if it has been sold to many as such. And that by itself is probably a far more reliable test of intelligence than IQ scores.
IQ scores provide bureaucrats a convenient means of putting people in little boxes and avoiding anything that has to do with actual humans. You can read the history of how the score was invented and why, and you can just use common sense to understand its many limitations. More to the point, for much of human history the concept of IQ scores did not exist. I wonder how people judged intelligence for thousands of years? I'm sure they did not sit around and waited for some bureaucrat to invent a method.
Just as people didn't rely on ESG scores, but if you ask the technocrats its the only way to measure companies contributes to society. lol
Ask yourself a proper question that does not require a lot of intelligence to ask. Who benefits from IQ tests and scores? And who does not?
