I used to associate the rainbow with leprechauns and the pot of gold, or just the beauty of one after a rain. The rainbow was always a good thing; not anymore.
@FEWI Yeah, me too. I seen a full rainbow about 2 weeks ago, just magnificent, when leaving a visitation, and took great comfort in seeing it. Later on, when heading home, I thought it about and the Sign of the Covenant of the Earth ~ Genesis 9:13
It is now a symbol of cultural appropriation by modern Gomorrans.
@FEWI My kids asked me a similar gay question. My response was that it was words being stolen and redefined to confuse people by people who were ashamed to being homosexual. My proof was the Flintstone's ending theme song, the Xmas songs, and several other like the original Puss-n-Boots story. I believe the word was appropriated unintentionally when Liberace was being interviewed and 'came out of the closet' and shocked the nation. He said they were happy and gay, being truly themselves, waving his hands gay gestures 
of course he meant it as in the Puss-n-Boots original story, jovial and gay, not blooming homosexual. One of the first neologisms that I can remember.
@Weltansicht This is a difficult one to get through to our kids isn’t it? Gay means happy. Rainbow means next time we burn. Jesus means we have a shot at redemption.
@Weltansicht, @FEWI you are right. Liberals have tainted it. In fairness what haven’t they tainted is an easier question to answer. They’ve corrupted the election to the point I doubt we will ever get another win. They have turned a government office building into an idol they worship as “sacred”. They’ve tainted marriage by calling homosexuals playing house “married”. They want to expand it to old men marrying kids and married people marrying multiple other people. I don’t think they left anything alone.
