Policing forces have more than exceeded their authority or authorities by deliberately suppressing and impeding individual liberty and basic human rights. Additionally, I would here challenge they no longer constituting valid policing forces having evolved into paramilitary organizations?
Inquiring minds would be interested precisely what part or parts of policing in America is not organized and/or arranged as any other military force in any country on this planet?
Not only are they (policing forces in America) organized and operated just as any other military force they’re routinely supplied with United States military equipment and worse still avail themselves of ‘qualified immunity’ from individual prosecution and responsibility.
Please do offer a more appropriate word for the criminal organization operating in The United States with impunity under color of law should you have a more descriptive word for them?
In aggregate they (policing forces in America) clearly constitute a single ‘Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organization’ with routine interstate activities. How these people could not constitute a RICO (Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organization) is extremely hard to see and/or comprehend? If not a paramilitary RICO what are they, they certainly do not represent protection of individual sovereign liberty of citizens?
I have to regrettably agree with the leftist forces, on this one thing, in that if these paramilitary forces running rough shod over American citizens can’ be brought to heel they must be defunded – what else are law abiding citizens supposed to do?
The easiest job in the world absolutely must be getting paid by taxpayers to be agitating back seat drivers lurking around every corner – now that’s a cushy job that doesn’t actually produce anything? And they that don’t produce waste – in this case our tax dollars?
Traveling Officers and Qualified Immunity add up to willful infringement of citizens liberty and basic human rights? Mandatory prosecution in addition to elimination of Qualified Immunity will have affect of eliminating Traveling Officers due to their criminal record providing estoppel to such corrupt practices. Or are you allowed to hide your criminality from your employer – not any that I know of?

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.The real problem is not that all cops are bad, but that all cops close ranks to protect the bad ones. When I was young a cop was called a peace officer or an officer of public safety. Today they're merely law enforcement officers with the emphasis placed on force. Couple that with the training that officers go through that everyone is a danger to them and they're far more likely to resort to force in pursuit of enforcement of even the illegal edicts of overreaching administrators and do more harm than good in any community. We need to change the way everyone thinks about cops, from the way cops are trained to the way the public views them.

It is easy to find BAD examples of any profession!!!! Policing is done 90% in public, few other professions have that kind of exposure!!!! If you don't like the way police handle a situation, next time, don't call, handle it yourself!!!!! If you don't like dealing with police officers, easy solution, don't violate the law!!!! Just saying!!!!!!!

Law enforcement used to be proactive in preventing crimes before they happen but since profiling is now prohibited, police can only help and pick up the pieces after the crime has been committed, hence the uptick in crime.
@FEWI There was a time when the officers were assigned to one neighborhood, walked that beat and got to know everyone there, and they got to know them too. Today it's all totally impersonal, like Robocop.

@FuzzyMarineVet Exactly, they knew who the bad ones were and they knew who to keep an eye on and stop them before they did anything. Nowadays it's considered profiling.
@FuzzyMarineVet I don't know if that is the choice of the guys on the street or the higher ups, but if they are still hiring the kind of guys I worked with, it is a policy problem!!!!!
Then there is the issue, would the type of officer I worked with even want to get into the profession today, I would not!!!!!
And Law Enforcement goes back a couple of hundred years in North America in my family, all the way back to the Oregon Territory days!!!!
@Serg97 All of the good cops in the cities have left for the sticks. I know, I live in the sticks and we get the best of them here. They complain the same as I do about the weird authoritarianism creeping into law enforcement these days.
