Look at who controls the six corporations that own our media

Communes of various forms seem to appeal to small religious sects of various belief systems. European Jews have a long history of being isolated in their own communities. To overcome religious persecution they found it necessary to cooperate with each other to a greater degree than those outside their community with greater economic freedom. The same pattern is found in other religious enclaves, perhaps to a lesser extent as protestantism gained acceptance. One characteristic of these communities is a rigid hierarchy sometimes called elders or in the case of Jews the Rabbinical structure. People adapted to such conditions may find it easier to accept central authority than those from a more diverse environment.

The isolation of Jews withing Western societies undoubtedly left them with a sense of alienation. It's only been a half century or less since Jews were accepted as members in such mundane social structures such as country clubs. Their loyalty to the common beliefs of the larger European community especial nationalism is likely weaker than other groups. Their emotional attachment to other Jews spread around the world is likely stronger than their attachment to local cultures. That would lead to them being especially incline to feel they are citizens of the world first and citizens of any particular geographic area second. The internationalism of communism may appeal to them.

The Jewish population perhaps because of the rabbinical structure of their original communities combined with a slightly higher IQ level are over represented in almost all intellectual professions. Communism is indeed the opiate of intellectuals. Intellectuals are inclined to hold the less educated in disdain and to fill contempt for a political class that is less gifted than they are. Communism has the appeal to intellectuals that it purports to be based in the science of economics. Intellectuals feel that they are under represented in the decisions that societies make. They don't feel that the working class and other groups have their expertise and insights. Although communism was originally conceived as the path to a libertarian society most communists believe that a rigid authoritarian system is a step to that goal. Intellectuals feel they should be the authorities within that authoritarian system.
