Not everyone is quick on the draw, and I get that.

But, you're doing it. You're doing the thing that I described. You'd like to make this about me.
You're applying standards that you don't believe in to persons or causes that say they subscribe to those standards. Would you be "outraged" having kids see a drag show? I don't think so.

Now, if that doesn't explain it, just move on and try your hand somewhere else.

If you want to have an actual discussion about this, the thing is that right-wingers are outraged that children are exposed to the mere idea that gay and trans people exist. For some reason right-wingers can't seem to hear about a gay or trans person without immediately thinking about their genitals and graphic sex, and they project that onto everyone else.

Notice how you asked if I would be outraged at a kid seeing a drag show. Not if a kid was exposed to genitals, but a drag show. The right-wing conflates the two. You see a cis woman flashing her genitals around kids, and you say "no different than a child seeing a man dressed as a woman". The majority of drags shows are just men dressed in flamboyant and gaudy outfits, probably singing a famous song or doing some sort of vaudeville. Drag Queen Story Hour is just a person in a wild costume reading children's books, no different than if it was the local sports team mascot or Batman.

You have no problem taking children (often terrified and crying) to a man dressed in a costume lying about who he is and trying to groom children into acting a certain way and believing in a fantasy - and that is a mall Santa. I never heard complaints about Bugs Bunny cartoons, or Powderpuff Football, or that skit where Giuliani dresses as a woman and is groped by Trump, or White Chicks, or Nuns On The Run, or other old examples of drag. It's only when you conflate it with LGBTQ+ that you then see it as an issue... even though there are a lot of drag performers who are not gay or trans.

The burlesque style drag shows which involve stripping, though still having genitals covered, are rare and supposed to be adult-only events in which, yeah, many people supportive of the LGBTQ+ community wouldn't approve of bringing young children to them, and it is the parent's fault for bringing children. I've been to plenty of horror conventions and tattoo conventions where burlesque performers strip and women walk around in nothing but thongs and nipple tape, and parents bring their young children all the time, and I've never seen a segment from Tucker Carlson complaining about it or an entire social media account dedicated to it and encouraging violence and death threats because of it? I see right-wingers celebrating bringing young boys to so-called "breastaurants" to ogle women's breasts and asses - family restaurants with kids menus where the whole point is scantily clad waitresses, like Hooters and Tilted Kilt. No outrage mob there?

It's only when it is LBGTQ+ related that there then becomes right-wing outrage. Sure, let a woman flash her privates in front of young kids for some right-wing cause, but don't you dare let a child see two men hold hands! Sure, put up signs saying "Fuck Biden" in plain view of young children, but don't you dare say the word "gay" in elementary school!

So, are you going to condemn this women for exposing herself to children? Or are you going to keep deflecting and comparing apples to oranges?

First, I have to say I appreciate your expansion on the topic.

Second, we are indeed at cross purposes. Persons on the political left are fine with trans people
doing their thing in front of children. Apparently, they think it makes the kids worldly. The kids aren't
"questioning" until what they inherently know is real is brought into question.

Stability isn't static, it's a lifeline for a kid who's already unsteady about his or her directions, let alone sexuality. Could there be any more effective way to destabilize human development than to encourage a child to believe that their physical reality is somehow inappropriate for them, a mismatch, a screw up? That's not something children are discovering, it's something they're being sold, and it's an abomination.

Third, you're in error, and you know it, when you compare the burlesque performances of the old days to the sexualization and fluidity grooming that is being purported as something it isn't. It isn't playful. It isn't an adventure in fantasy, it's laying groundwork by guys who want children to
conform to their idea of freedom. And there's no end to videos on YouTube alone to illustrate that.

Fourth, such behavior as described, by a man, woman, trans man, or trans woman is inappropriate ---and usually malign.

What exactly is "their thing" that you are talking about? Merely existing? Because many on the political right hate the mere existence of trans people and don't want children to ever even know that gay and trans people exist.

Gay and trans people aren't trying to make children question themselves and they aren't trying to turn children or "groom" them. If anything, it is people on the political right trying to groom children into their religion - look at them pushing through evangelical school groups but then blocking other religious groups. They are trying to groom them into being child brides - look at prominent right-wing media personalities like Matt Walsh talking about fertile children needing to be married off and raising families and pushing to abolish minimum marriage ages. They are making them doubt themselves by disowning them or sending them to torturous conversion camps to be "turned" straight, forcing intersex children into multiple surgeries to be forced into a specific gender without their knowledge, circumcising them and piercing their ears without consent, beating them for using their left hands and trying to turn them into right-handers, forcing girls to take chemicals to alter their hormones if they naturally produce too much testosterone, banning and burning books, etc etc.

I am not talking about burlesque of the old days. What I am talking about is current day burlesque I see at conventions, where cis women get as naked as humanly possible without being arrested, and yet parents gleefully bring their kids around and Fox News doesn't devote a week's worth of outrage to it - they think a man fully clothed in a dress reading a book is more dangerous. They think a man in a dress reading a book is more dangerous than a little boy being brought to a restaurant and having tits shoved in his face.

So again, it is talking about completely different ideas - the political right sees actual child abuse, like that as done by the Catholic Church, or people exposing themselves to kids, and no different than gay or trans people merely existing.
