The way the human race is heading it looks very much like we will go the same way as the dinosaurs but by our own hands. So what is the point of life? I have a sneaky suspicion life is the universe looking at itself. I think we forget that individuals we may be but we are also the universe. And the universe being what it is doesn't give a shit what lifeforms follow its progress. Oh Dear I should be sitting under the Bodhi Tree. lol.

As for the meaning of life, that is an individual quest and different for everybody. Although some people's lives will have no meaning or purpose ultimately

The unanswerable question - "what is the meaning of life" -
The only thing to do is to look for meaning in ones own life; and try to not do or say anything that you'll find shameful or embarrassing in hindsight.
To borrow a line from Paul Simons song "Slip Slide'n Away" - "the information is not available to the mortal man.
I don't know if its a philosophy or not but my way of living has been simply to make the best of it given the conditions and circumstances in front of me.

Eventually you may realize that the Universe was made for us humans, as the place we could grow into sentience. The ones who do will graduate, at His pleasure, to presence with our Creator, who made the Universe for our incubation.
God has honored our free will since Christ's Sacrifice for our Salvation. Those who understand and value that Sacrifice, and so choose to honor God, will be "promoted," at His pleasure.
Those who choose to believe in themselves - even though we are all completely powerless to do something like make the Universe, will be free to choose to disbelieve in God, and will not be promoted.
There are things to look into if you have an open mind at all. One is the Resurrection. Do ALL the research, not just finding the things that confirm your skepticism. You are the loser if you fail to be honest. The other is physics, which is beginning to point to our Universe as a membrane on a greater reality that is inaccessible to us. Get ready to have your understanding of reality dissolved.

That's the most arrogant post about meaning I've ever seen. What do you see that most scientists fail to see? The man created god of the bible made an infinite universe just for Earthlings. What astronomers observe is just a tiny insignificant part of the universe. There are more stars in our galaxy alone than there are grains of sand in all of the world's beaches.
