2304241000M WHAT A NINE-HUNDRED POUND GORILLA LOOKS LIKE QUIETLY SETTING IN A CORNER?

No one in their right mind would voluntarily enter a locked room with such a nine-hundred pound gorilla. Nor should they voluntarily enter that locked room with Mr. Douglas Murray either. But that is exactly what this videoed debate looks like has happened.

These two debaters are so far from each other intellectually they could almost be said to be speaking in tongues at each other rather than to each other. The young women certainly had no idea, not a clue, as to what Mr. Murray spoke. Astutely spoke I might add.

Mr. Murray zeroed in on something overlooked till now. It is a well known fact that the more egalitarian a society is the more separate the principles, such as men an women, become. The point is that egalitarianism separates people rather than unite them. What Mr. Murray was pointedly asking, was whether or not the same decisiveness applies to ‘equality’ with regard to principles – which I find to be an exceptionally important question? However, it went straight over the head of the woman he was debating.

I suppose that the question could be likened to forcing equality on two different sexes of the same species. Put another way, trying to force together two positive ( or two negative ) magnetic poles of the same material – do the not repeal each other? My analogy is surely lacking, so please correct it for me if you wouldn’t mind.

So much for Mr. Murray’s contribution to this debate.

The young woman’s questionable contribution as expected had to do with feelings rather than logic. She took exception to some obscure Dutch folk character by the name of “Black Pete.” Just had to be something racial, didn’t it.

She likened this “Black Pete” to the more well known “Santa Claus” or “Saint Nicholas” as it were. It appears that her debate contribution was wrapped up in another complaint about ‘black faced’ makeup – as if it mattered to anyone with just two little gray cells to rub together. I have to wonder if the Dutch people had ever seen or heard of a black person before the advent of thus “Black Pete” folk character?

And if it were after, does her objection mean that black people can’t be evil? I pose this question because, not readily known, Nick is an alternate moniker for Satan the Devil. Actually no one knows old Nick’s real name – all the other monikers he goes by aren’t actually names as such. I suppose that Nick is as close as evil has to a real name?

As cited above, Mr. Murray posited an important pointed question to this young woman’s indignant racial self pity.

PS1. Are people marginalizing themselves due to a basic lack of understanding that ‘respect’ and ‘curtesy’ are two entirely different words? Respect is earned, Cutesy is civilized behavior.
