Which is still a very small amount of money compared to the bank bail outs, automotive bail outs, airline bail outs, corporate tax breaks, corporate subsidies.
I still can't understand why people get so heated over families getting financial assistance but have little to say about large multi-billion dollar companies getting financial assistance. Or to put it another way as a Christian, I am going to break bread with a family in need and I would wash my feet of the banker or ceo looking for a handout.
Can someone please explain why we are all pointing the finger at family welfare "abusers" and not at the wealthy welfare abusers?

Not to many can see the "Bigger Picture" of it all, the Elitist know that all they need to do is convince the pitch fork people that the shovel people are trying to take their hay away, and it works. Sadly.... Divide the people conquer the people.
I don't think most here have a problem with limited assistance when needed; however, for myself, I'm sick and tired of this concept of FREE money regardless of the recipient. I don't care if it's for a con, out and out liars, "legal" bailouts, or corrupt politicians -- in my book, at least, they are ALL thieves!! I don't buy into the "too big to fail" CRAPOLA, but I also don't agree with people receiving a handout when they don't need it simply because they either feel they are owed or just want more $$. Of course, at this particular moment 1 out of 5 households needing assistance may be necessary, but back in 2012? 21% maybe low for now, but I do find it excessive for 2012 because I just don't buy that many households truly NEEDED assistance. It's disgusting to me regardless of the recipient when they are working the system. Gov't money is NOT FREE money, it is MY money and YOUR money and it should be respected as such and utilized properly with transparency when needful, but hardly anyone seems to have any respect for taxpayers anymore, let alone for the taxes they pay.
