This landed in my inbox today. I was surprised that a young man from Ecuador would have an opinion regarding Israel at all. Then, after watching this 5-minute video, I wanted to applaud his efforts and hope the rest of civilization would pay as close attention as he has.

The Palestinians — who already comprise 80% of Jordan — were offered 4/5ths of the disputed land in 1948 and refused. They wanted it all. Israel unhappily took a 20% sliver and gained statehood. All of the land Israel took after declaring independence in 1949 was won in defensive wars, after repeated attacks over subsequent decades by her neighbours. Israel literally dragged her own citizens out of Gaza in 2005, and was rewarded with missile attacks from Hamas.
These are the facts that woke progressives refuse to acknowledge.

Sebastian Cevallos is correct, and I admire his stand for justice. His piece, "Lies About Israel Lead to Lies About Everything," is clear, well researched and well written.
