Let's dust off a comparison the left is all too fond of using. Obama/BidenGate is going to make Watergate look like a, well... a third-rate burglary, and a clumsy attempt to cover it up. With Watergate, the cover-up was definitely worse than the crime, and it's what sent them all to prison. This time around, the crimes desperately needed to be covered up... well, let's see where it leads.

Dean to find out. That case reveals the media mudslinging that almost completely covered up the truth of the Watergate scandal. Its a public record. And Dean was found guilty of masterminding the Watergate break-in without Nixon's knowledge. Liddy sued Dean, because Dean tried to throw Liddy under the bus as responsible.
The reason that is important today, is that the media - which the New York Times proudly reported are 87% Democrat, found it could shape the narrative and convince the voter base of almost anything. So today the media is unapologetically doing so, as if it is their actual job. And I have spoken to "journalists" who actually feel it is their duty to steer people to believe as they do, because they are so sure they know what is true, and others don't.

@parsifal. Yup. Unless the public tells the media to stop, they will keep doing what they know works. I've written to all my representatives and senators, and published editorials to that effect. If others don't as well, nothing will happen.
all very true but still will never drown out the narrative of the "evil" RM Nixon ...that is the rub isn't it...defeating the narrative of righteous leftism vs evil capitalism ...impossible task when one side has exclusive control of the megaphone we know as "news media" / journalism.

@parsifal, The US media has had tacit permission since Trump's election to remove any restraint on journalistic bias, (see Victor David Hansen) essentially becoming a paid political division of the Democrat party. So they have long ago lost any sense of rational perspective about consequential justice.
Whatever thin veneer of journalistic balance there was left after the VietNam war - in which trusted names like Dan Rather falsely reported stories by seven VietNam vets who were never in country, has been completely erased.
