Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.Let me see, Harry Potter might lead to uncomfortable discussions about class, race, and gender. This seems to be imposing the authors more recent comments about gender into her books series, the first of which was published a quarter century ago. Though I am not an expert on Harry Potter, I think that had J. K. Rowling not become a lightening rod for the trans-community's ire, such "trigger warnings" would not be attached by the university. In fact, such "trigger warnings" are essentially anti-intellectual. Students who are that incompetent in the face of ideas have no business reading books or being students. The university's act of providing such warnings is inadvertently telling students that to their faces: "Here is a warning about this children's book because you, and adult young person, are too stupid to respond to its ideas in a mature and rational way. So be careful."
