I think the podcaster doesn't get it. He too quickly defines responsibility narrowly as employment or family and states that where there is no authority, there is no reward to taking responsibility. He's missing that 1) We can be our own authority BY taking responsibility, and 2) JP's not telling anyone to take THIS responsibility or THAT responsibility. He's telling men to take SOME responsibility SOMEWHERE. Do you need authority to pick up garbage in town? Try it. Report back what happens when you take a big bag and pick up garbage in town. That's taking responsibility for our world. Man granted himself the authority by observing it's social good, and it needs to be done.

But, let's go to the examples the monkey guy wants to use. How can you take responsibility for your family? Well, you don't have to be a dictator. Make SOMETHING in your family better. Maybe, it's your relationship with your father. Maybe it's a bit rough, and your fighting impacts the entire family. How can you make your relationship with your father better? What can you DO to make the situation better? You don't need anyone else's authority to try to make something better. If you succeed, your whole family benefits some--who knows how much? How about work? What if instead of going in and punching the clock and making yourself busy for 8 hours, you went in with the intention of solving a problem nobody's solved? Do you think you'll be punished because you didn't have the authority to think about fixing that problem? People are going to be THRILLED! You're going to stand out like a f'ing hero! You'll be revered by all men, and women will swoon and feed you homemade delicacies at your desk! You'll be a legend.

How can you take responsibility for something? You can stand up and doggedly spread acceptance (something I could sure stand to do myself). Start making the world better by making yourself better--better to be around. How much of the world can you impact? Maybe you only affect 4 people in your sphere, but you took responsibility and you made the world a better place. You're GD Tony Stark!

Sorry podcast dude, but your pod sounds like a giant excuse to NOT take responsibility. Men do because they can do. Men inspire others to do. Men set a course others can follow. Why? Because they can. Because they stop talking about how awful it is and DO something about it.

MGTOW is the most rational choice for Men these days. I will be counseling my boys carefully on the current status of Men and the risks of relationships in the modern era. The Risk/Value proposition regarding women and marriage has changed dramatically for Men. While I value being a Father more than anything else in my life and will be passing along the joys of Fatherhood to my sons, I will also be doing my best to warn them and advise them of the dangers regarding relationships with women, and especially the legal risks and potential complications of children and marriage. Things are much different today than they were when I was growing up and when my Father and his Father were growing up. I cannot say that it is better.

WW2....things DID calm down after a big fight.... Than... we forgot.... We forget history.... And how it truly was.... We take rights and comfort for granted.... We forgot that we all were under the natural selection system.
See my point here ?... I hope your boys will listen.

@RemiDallaire Well, also after WW2 there was a huge dearth of men-- so from the male perspective it was a bit of a seller's market.

@jwhitten There is/was and will always will be a huge number of death. A metheor will strike this planet and the rest of the Galaxy will not give a flying...you know what about it....

I'm looking at this cold hearted... Like an historian.

@RemiDallaire Well right, but that's not what I meant. At the moment there isn't a whole lot of dead and so women have the "seller's market" angle at the moment. And likely will for the next foreseeable bit barring some large planetary-scale calamity or maybe some new frontier (space?) that resets the dynamic.n. All it would take is one meteor-- as you pointed out-- to change the equation. Take out our advanced technology-- infrastructure, power, information flow-- any number of things could "blow us back to the stone age", so to speak. It wouldn't necessarily knock out the knowledge that we have (had) gained, but it could very well throw us into a mini-dark age while we worked to recover on a large scale.

@jwhitten The Meteor reference was just to accentuate the fact that all theses social causes are kinda meaningless LOL that's all.

Now you are a smart fellah.... Do you truly have so much faith in human nature that you think someone somewhere won't find a good excuse somewhere to start chaos ?

human nature.... history..... repeat of the same shit over and over again for self interest and gain ?? If you don't see this coming from miles aways.... you are an optimist.... And I salute you my friend 😉

@RemiDallaire >> The Meteor reference was just to accentuate the fact that all theses social causes are kinda meaningless LOL that's all.

I recognize that the 'meteor' is simply a metaphor. But when you look around the world you see that there is a huge imbalance of men-to-women and that detail, historically, has not boded well for society.

"The consequences of having too many men, now coming of age, are far-reaching: beyond an epidemic of loneliness, the imbalance distorts labour markets, drives up savings rates in China and drives down consumption, artificially inflates certain property values and parallels increases in violent crime, trafficking or prostitution in a growing number of locations."

When you have huge numbers of young horny marriage-minded men sitting around idle and unemployed, it's a recipe for disaster and the proverbial 'interesting times'. In times past wars and other disasters would weed out the men and present a strong crop to the young women to choose from. The 'leftovers' were relatively small and society has been able to absorb their numbers and deal with them.

"Barely recognised, the ramifications of too many men are only starting to come into sight.
“In the future, there will be millions of men who can’t marry, and that could pose a very big risk to society,” warns Li Shuzhuo, a leading demographer"

However, consider China, for example, and India, for another. In those two countries alone-- the two most populous nations on the planet-- there is a very large disparity in the sex ratio leaving around 70 million men unpaired with partners and sitting around with nothing better to do. They have no jobs, no partners, no prospects-- the situation for them is pretty bleak. And yet they have their strength in numbers and miserable disposition to offer as a chaotic force upon the world.

Add to that the insidious and pervasive influence of hateful Feminism belittling, denigrating and blaming men for all of the ills of the world, and you've got yourself quite a tinderbox combination. You can't blame it all on Feminism of course, that's merely a symptom itself of the larger looming underlying problems which are about to plague our modern society (my words, my view).

We are standing at the brink of a brand new era in human civilization which is unprecedented by any situation previous in the whole of human history. Add to that the growing numbers of people displaced from their native regions, displaced by ever-more advanced and automated technology, displaced through lack of housing, economic conditions-- and on and on-- and the world becomes a stick of dynamite just looking for a spark.

“No one knows how sad I feel”

We are simply running out of things to keep people engaged and gainfully occupied and we are doing exactly nothing to improve the situation in the near term. We have no plan of action, not even a conceptual plan for dealing with all of the displaced members of society and giving them some new noble purpose to subscribe to.

"The men themselves are isolated, left out of major family decisions and subject to ridicule, with little in the way of support or mental health services."

It is quite a conundrum and to top it all off, our media institutions have lost ALL sense of reason and are busy running around fanning the flames and pouring gasoline on the fires. We have officially entered the realm of 'Clown World' full and proper.

But, all of that said, I (fore)see nothing on the horizon which is likely to alter that basic sex ratio and indeed, much that is far more likely to exacerbate it even further. And that one risk alone could engender a calamity whose resultant turmoil could plunge society into a new dark age for some indeterminate period of time. There is no guarantee of energy, communications, motivation or direction.

Men are only valued in society when they are able to provide resources, particularly to women. The rest of the time they are preyed upon, exploited, used as pawns and cannon-fodder in other people's political games. Or ignored entirely. -- Me

We are lucky we live in a time that things are relatively peaceful and peaceable. But I think we have grown far too complacent about these aspects to the point of taking them completely for granted and assuming that we will always continue to have a functioning society based on the rule of law and order-- items which have been bestowed upon us through the hard work and effort of "The Patriarchy". Consider the IRONY implicit in that.

Here is an article on the topic (quotes above not otherwise noted are from the article):

"Too many men: China and India battle with the consequences of gender imbalance"

@jwhitten yeaaaaaaaaahhhhhh but all this tirade and pilling of problems....just make me wanna to look at the current state humanity with a cold blooded heart. You kinda make my point here.... Or better yet... Can you blame me for being cinical ?? (Take for granted that I was aware of most points that you are making)

How come you were so optimist earlier ? craking up here

@RemiDallaire >> How come you were so optimist earlier ?

You know the difference between an Optimist and a Pessimist?

The Optimist believes that this is the best of all possible worlds !!!

The Pessimist believes that the Optimist may well be right.

@jwhitten I must be an iconoclast than... Cuz I wanna drink that half full half empty glass LOL.. (Please tell me it's Rhum)
