Welcome to the PUBLIC SCHOOL system!! I got out of school in the mid 1960's. This type of thing was going on then (not the gender thing, the thought control). That is why I was invited by the principal not to attend my graduation, even though I was in the top 20 in my class. I also was not told about the scholarship I had been offered.
You should have seen the look on that principal's face when I was detailed to the school, several years later, and walked into his office in full police uniform!!!!
