Obama was the best thing that ever happened to gun sales.
Politicians pass laws that make things worse for all of us, to get votes.

The individual and the society in which he exists must believe in something greater than himself - he must at least entertain the idea that satiation of sexual desire, drunkeness and other artificial methods of stimulating the pleasure centers of the brain are temporary and over time require ever increasing stimulations to the extreme in order to achieve the transcendence he seeks.
Your mind and your body can only take so much before it fails - ie dies.

Back in the 1960's, my gunsmith and I discussed "Gun Control". He told me that if I wanted a highly accurate rifle all he needed was a fine piece of walnut wood and a very good piece steel and in a month or two he would deliver a fine rifle.
He also said that if the government outlawed firearms he could become very wealthy, because he could make 10 to 20 fully automatic weapons A DAY with just steal pipe. They would not be great weapons, but they would be functional.
The best way to control firearms and their use is to teach GOOD MORALS, SIGHT ALIGNMENT, AND TRIGGER CONTROL, GOOD MORALS being the most necessary!!!!!!

It muddles the narrative. Rage is profitable, so any story involving personal responsibility will be snubbed in favor of something with a bad guy. It's easy to hate a bad guy. It's hard to judge yourself harshly

But the second somethin happens like a school shooting, the media jumps on the chance to exaggerate for shock value...we're feeding the media, the media is feeding us..
The more attention we give these stories, the more theyre be in the news, causing more and more people to give up on the world, and participate in the violence

Well put, my respect for the law is not what it could be and it is definitely because of some of the arbitrary rules.
I don't like arguing abortions, but this is exactly how I feel regarding pro-life. If you want better morals in the world making laws people don't agree with won't have a positive effect.

Prohibition didn't create organized crime in America, but it did act as financial fertilizer for it. If serious gun control legislation is passed on a national scale, a few things are certain. Many responsible gun owners, who never committed or even thought about committing a crime will be facing prison and more than a few will end up in prison. There will also be some federal, state and local police who will zealously enforce the laws and some great citizens who never would have have harmed or hurt anyone will end up dead. So we lose good citizens who pay taxes, we lose our rights to defend ourselves and we flush a lot of tax money down the crapper. Government is wonderful.

When you make a large swath of the population criminals over night it weakens the rule of law and any respect people on the fence have / had for law enforcement. There will be tens of thousands of people who refuse to obey and will not go quietly to the gulag one at a time. We live in perilous times.
