The nuclear family is communist.
From each according to their ability,
To each according to their need.
It doesn't matter if any conspiracies exist, the natural drive of man is to create a trusted communism.
It is a cultural magnet that is impossible to repel without tyranny.
It's the job of the cultural guardians to create a society that IS as nice as communism SOUNDS to a teenager looking at 30 years of debt to figure out how to make his way in the world.

the thing about communism (and socialism too) is that it has a negative economy of scale. It gets less efficient as they get larger. That's a function of any kind of centralized authority, but Communism makes it worse by attempting to assert control over the economy. We see the results from the Soviet Union to Venezuela.
But small-scale? Up to a size of a couple hundred people, communism can work. Everybody can see that the job they do is important and they can see the importance of buying in. The larger a group gets the more this sense of community gets lost.

Socrates imagined communist guardians with no property, living on subsistence level contributions from the city-folk whose polis the guardians were indoctrinated from birth to preserve and protect. The guardians were expected to pretty much leave the trades and crafts people the fuck alone to go about their own affairs..
Socrates was a prick, but I like that bit of genius.

I see a nuclear powered communism with a side of capitalism to drive innovation.
Plus guns to keep everything in check.
If the nuclear family is communist, communism is a tyrannical father, an overprotective mother, siblings you usually don't get along with too well, visits from old people you don't know very well who want to touch you...rather unpleasant stuff.
