And furthermore the Jack Daniel distillery insists that they have never considered their whiskey to be Bourbon either pre or post prohibition. And furthermore as the Bourbon industry in Kentucky dates to the 1820's , perhaps even earlier, it would not be possible for the Jack Daniel distillery to start the Bourbon industry. However, we are all deeply indebted to the Welsh for the Jack Daniel's recipe. It is a fine Tennessee Sipping Whiskey.

His Great Aunt told me about it I might have got the States wrong but JD originated from Wales they county I come from, you have to excuse the mistakes but I had a few strokes which has rendered my Blind and I sure half my brain not working
@ieuan Yes the distillery does say that the recipe came from Wales but they have lost almost all of their early records in a fire. I would say to you that I think you do quite well here for someone legally blind and the half of your brain that is working seems to be working quite efficiently, too. Hello ieuan. I have Welsh friends, and when they speak Welsh, it sounds pretty and unique. I also love their Welsh accent when they speak English. It is good that the Welsh language is being kept going - it is taught in school.
BTW, Jim Gaffigan is an American stand-up comedian. @Edgework was quoting one of his jokes, though I'm not sure it is accurate.
