More than ever we are seeing a growing (sometimes violent) divide in our nation and it is unlikely this will improve soon. At the root of the problem is a lack of desire to resolve the divide amicably. Our OPINION is right and anybody that disagrees is just wrong and doesn’t deserve to be heard. “They have bad motives and/or are ignorant of the facts, so they should be shut down before they can cause further harm.” Most want to see the perpetrators of this disinformation punished. After all, they have done great damage and unless they are held responsible, they and others will continue to do even greater harm.
I know many are saying about me, “This guy is a Liberal talking to the Conservatives” while others would insist, “No, this guy is a Conservative talking to Liberals”. Maybe you’re neither. Maybe you think I’m just a passivist saying, “Can’t we all just get along?”
The truth of the matter is that you CAN NOT POSSIBLY KNOW my perspective or my motivation. All you can CORRECTLY do is analyze the importance and veracity of my statements based upon your own perspectives, analytical skills and desire to SEEK TRUTH.
This is not the post I started out to write, but before my intended post could have any value at all, this TRUTH has to be addressed in your own mind. Otherwise, I am just telling lies to those with a different perspective while preaching to the choir to those with a similar perspective.
IMO (In my opinion), the fact that you read this far shows that not all hope is gone.

Thanks for the link. It doesn’t seem to be playing right now, but I’ll try again to view it later.
I was able to get the link to work and have now watched the entire (long) video. It was very informative.
First I thought you (and he) were saying, “the reason nobody will tolerate anything that differs from their preferred perspective is that Sensoy and Diangelo have gotten their social engineering experiment into the school systems (and other social constructs) and have been teaching young people (and those who will later teach young people) that society is inherently evil and must be destroyed and remade in the image they have determined would theoretically be just and morally good. Furthermore, these social revolutionists guilt young people into a “lifelong commitment” of wholehearted activism in order to do “your part in their social revolution”.
Then I heard the part about the tactics, “cynical criticism... doing it and teaching other people to do it all the time, everywhere, about anything...It doesn’t mater if your criticism is based upon understanding of what you are complaining about.” The fact that their tactic includes “teach this everywhere [especially to the young and impressionable, the ignorant and the disenfranchised] and make it a moral imperative”’ makes it even more clear why you have this perspective.
If I have understood it correctly, this perspective has merit (in my opinion). However, I’m not sure how this relates to others like us older folks that haven’t been exposed to this teaching. Is it that we have seen how the corrosive effects of this tactic can erode away even the most pure of concepts and therefore we have learned to use this same weapon against the attacker?
@Daveclark5, sounds like you have the picture. It means that the lack of civility in society is squarely at the feet of leftists, and that no matter how we try to get along with them, it is not in the best interests of accomplishing their agenda to have a constructive discussion. Those of us who are older may find this incredible, but it is true. We tend to see the good in others. We will not find it in them, by their own intention.
