I think the point Fewi is trying to make is that we have had a whole discussion what it takes to be kicked of Facebook etc and here we have people faking things to create racial hatred and Facebook is all OK with that.

They've been all smoke and mirrors and sleight of hand for about 30 years now, I think(Remember Wag The Dog?). Wherever this image came from it seems typical of mass media- at least in spirit if not in fact.

What’s confusing is how they can get away with all this BS propaganda especially when it’s directed at the POTUS and they don’t even try to hide it!
@FEWI I think it's because most people watch TV and have all their lives. It can take a real concerted effort to just not watch TV any more. And for most people TV is the only show in town. They get subliminally swayed even as they're thinking, "Aw hell, that can't be right." In modern day America TV is the devil. Social media is different only in that it features user input. But the sources of the input information are still the same media they've always been and they're owned by the advertisers. Advertising, lobbying, bribery, extortion... each is just a different kind of persuasion.Some is overt; some is subliminal; some is criminal; some is all three maybe. John Prine (R.I.P) said "Blow up your TV. Throw away your papers. Move to the country. Buy a little home...
