Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I agree with a lot of the things that he's saying, and his theory on why there is a race "competition" is really interesting to listen to, but it is the one thing I somewhat disagree with. There were some African civilizations that were immensely wealthy, although it was partially (sometimes mostly) due to slave labor and other systems.
As a student of linguistics, I do a lot of studies on the history of writing, and the majority of African orthography (their writing systems) are relatively new, so that does have some merit to the argument about why history is told from the predominantly "white" point of view. However, another thing to consider is that the majority of US citizens come from European backgrounds, and history is more interesting to those who can relate to it, which is why I think so much of our history materials are from "white" perspectives. It would be fascinating to have other texts from different parts of the world, but sometimes they are not available, they don't exist, or they don't interest the students or fulfill the... lovely... I hate that I wrote that word to describe it, but it was for sarcasm's sake "common course" learning schema.

The grave mistake has been conservatives, and I mean both supporter and politician, failing to hold their ground for the past 100 years as the progressive, now whack, Left has been allowed to incrementally slide the goal posts so far left that JFK was more of a conservative than most Republicans today. Standing ground now in an effort to turn this tide will demand pain, and lots of it.

Absolutely right. Many non-conservatives I debate have zero concept of what the US was under Constitutional protection, not unaccountable federal bureaucracy, and blame the resulting chaos not at the feet of those driving the changes, but at those resisting them: conservatives.
